Have you ever travelled from Srinagar to Jammu via NH? If not, take a road trip, you will get the picture. It's not at all easy and cost effective to defend a place from 'lone wolf' type attacks especially if that land is your border. Now if we occupied paki land the cost becomes even higher and it will not be that easy to let it go once we capture and occupy something we don't own.

Because what do we intends to do with the population ? It's not an empty stretch of land and why would we want to add more hostile population to the territory we control .

Plus the Akhnoor dagger is more like the Akhnoor chicken neck now . With 24/7 satellite coverage , there can be no surprise strike from there as in the past.

We didn't even fired a single air-to-air missile, we didn't fire our MBRLs either when they were firing their MBRLs on us. They fired TBMs at us but we didn't. And yet they got a beating of lifetime. Their insecurity is, that their capital city along with pindi and Lahore are under our MBRL range. Karachi under multi-barrel tactical ballistic missiles. Their Navy is under range of our coastal missile batteries.

Next time we should fire some Smerch at them to waste their air defence interceptors. They have very limited number of them anyways. Harops can suppress and destroy their ADs later on.
