Naxals went retards for decades now. They just present there to fend of development projects. Killed their own people who they claim to be protecting.

We need to remove them. Also State Governments should bring services to the Red Districts. Even Industries can be setup there.

Dont like commies one bit but, man this is sad AF. Kids fighting with what seems to be a flintlock? wtf
We all know how corrupt the politicians. bureaucrats and cops are in those areas, most of these individuals become naxals due to injustices they faced by govt. Which makes them easier to be brainwashed by commie propaganda. I hope the naxals who surrender are taken care and provided with a future so they can become functional members of society. At the end of the day these are our people who became what they are due to the situations they are put into by our incompetent and dumbass bureaucracy.

Government has been trying the negotiation tactic for many decades. Many prominent Naxal leaders were even given amnesty and let go if they agreed to lay their arms down.

These type of action is often the final recourse if they refuse to surrender after multiple olive branches. It is indeed sad, but it is what it is.

They are fielding child soldiers in large numbers becaue their 'movement' have lost steam. Not many takers of their ideology remain and people are starting to move on. You should look up the folks who are getting eliminated in Chattisgarh if this one incident surprises you so much.

The Naxals who surrender assist state and central forces in CT ops.

Well the gut feeling is definitely of "if G3 then Pakistani" but given all the different variations of it, it can't be said with 100% confidence unless we see a big ahh "POF" stamped on the receiver.

Though one thing is very clear, this thing is very very old. If I'm not wrong then this style of round wooden handguard with distinct holes would be the very first generation of G3; 1960. So this is nothing to worry about given we're dealing with thermal scoped equipped rifles firing AP rounds.

Another curious point is if this shipment (this is the second or third G3 to be recovered from Maoists) is indeed from Pakistan then how come it's with the Maoists, deep inside the hinterlands of India? Isn't Kashmir a more probable location for these to proliferate? And yet we see none there.

Could also be a local Myanmar variant. This first gen G3 variant with that specific handguard was phased out by the pakis as well. So either the gun went around a lot of places before landing there or it was smuggled via North East from Myanmar.
