The $2.5 million 2024 FIDE World Championship between reigning World Chess Champion Ding Liren and his challenger GM Gukesh Dommaraju will take place in Singapore between November 20 and December 15.

Faustino Oro from Argentina becomes the youngest IM in the world of chess. The youngster achieved it by scoring his final norm at the Club de Ajedrez Barcelona tournament in Spain.

He has achieved the IM title at the age of 10 years, 8 months and 16 days, thereby surpassing the record of Abhimanyu Mishra, who had achieved the IM title at the age of 10 years 9 months and 3 days.
