Right now due to production issue and jam packed orders i don't think 5-6 years but atleast minimum 8-10 years by that time we would have tejas mk 2 and "maybe" amca too if hal and mod doesn't fuck up

Yes tech does play big role but when equipment is destroyed can you expect Russian or even Western to provide more equipment on fair prize

Russia can manufacture more stuff to compensate for it's losses.
Ukraine is dependent on the good graces of it's patrons putting some into it's katora.

Think about and India vs Pak/Chini conflict, Unlike Ukraine the "patrons" in question will milk us for every last $ and make us comply to onerous T&C to access their Wunderwaffe.
