It not about how big the budget is but using it effectively is what's needed. Every year, a large chunk of the unutilized budget is returned back to the treasury...particularly from IA and IAF

Let's say

~Mach 6 for 1000 Seconds

That's ~2000 Meters per second for 1000 seconds

Distance travelled will be ~2050 Km

IMO, it will travell 100-150 Km for Mach 6 to Mach 3 deceleration

So whole missile will have a range of ~2,200 Km

A HCM based on this can have 2000+km range.
Twice that of 1000+km consudered range of zircon in hcm/depressed trajectory.

Not gonna enter service before 2028-2030.

but just imagine this missile on our ships.
all the complains of @Ayan Barat about chinki having range advantage over us in ship based anti ship missiles will be gone.
