We're still some years away from realising the LFRJ . Initially even I was given to believe we had already mastered the tech going by chatter on forums , YT videos , Twitter etc .

However it now turns out that we've confirmation it is indeed some years away from being realised. Apparently the cat was let out of the bag during the Swavalamban Seminar 2024 recently organized by the IN .

Brochure clearly says flying altitude 28000 feet and endurance >18Hrs which UN Generals has already rejected in TAPAS.

I heavily criticize the IAF, but I strongly doubt that Safran would offer anything beyond directly selling their core. They would siphon off all the money, and we would receive no ToT under any circumstances.

We'd end up back at square one. To make progress with the Kaveri, we need the "Know-Why," not just the "Know-How" of the hot section, which is unlikely to be provided. The fully built hot section would likely come from France, with HAL merely assembling it, similar to the Shakti engines.

1. only 2 new f404 are available with hal ,so only 2 mk1a can be delivered
2. Hal will use catagory B engines for Building tejas mk1a , and airframes will be ready , when engines available ..will be fitted and tested
3. Tejas mk1a radar integration , delayed due to Israel war , tejas mk1a testing will take time ..

Titanium will make the system way too costly, though.

It costed just 13 crores to Armenia I suppose even with titanium it shouldn't go beyond 20 crores which is still less than other artilleries.
They have reduced chamber size so maybe they won't need to use titanium for barrel it would need alot more of it. They're is already a shortfall for titanium in market no way they will go for it. Instead of they had to they can use in other components.

e're actually talking of the ADE here not exactly known for anything from achievements to quality. Calling it the most ineffectual labs of the entire defence ecosystem is actually paying it a compliment.

ADE was behind the fly by wire controls for Tejas. They did this in less than a decade with peanuts.
Itcm is another success from ADE.
I hope Archer ng would achieve best what a piston powered aircraft could.
