Were they missing neon lights, centralized air vents and assembly bots? Dang thats why GTRE failed to produce engine!. All the while I thought it was lack of FTB and inconsistent and inadequate funding to be reason.

First of all, yes, we're seriously doomed in pretty much all the sectors. The window is rapidly closing and if something is not done then we might never recover from this. Out of 700 or so memeber here, I might be the most blackpilled.
(It should have been @jaijaganath but God knows what miracle happened in between DFI and DFB and I lost to him)

But I was always under the impression that we've firms like Jyoti which already EXPORTS, not just makes more than half of the tech required for a jet engine!!!

Videos of what production in cutting edge factories look like. You've clearly shown "the top" of what's required for gas turbine engine...Rolls Royce, Safran, General Electrics.

But it'd be great if you can provide "the bottom" of turbine engines...the minimum tech required to make a good engine.
Tumansky, Kuznetsov, Saturn, Lyulka and Klimov are also making engines for decades now.

Btw here's few lines from a wonderful poem by Shivmangal Singh "Suman", hope it helps in motivating you a bit

Sirji main abhi bhi top most position main hun
It's just that apne kam main busy hun and apart from that itna blackpilled hoke abhi aur interest nahi raha rant karna ka
I am a person with no hope in this particular topic. When you have no hope, you have no expectations.

They can given government provides funds to do it, this apply to every other r&D originization of every other country.
Our engine program stalled due to insufficient funding by the gov. and expecting ultrafast development of something as Complex as a jet engine for a country that before has never developed or manufactured the core components of the engine only assembled foreign engines before.
That fact drdo even managed to generate 76kn to sustained thrust with the poor amount of funding and other lack resources that gov didn't provide is a testament of the capabilities of gtre and drdo.

Great find as usual. Anyway, I think they should develop another version with RLG-INS for missions requiring more pinpoint precision to supplement the current ones.

Excellent post Ayan! So its a relief that drdo has its own tcs. And makes sense why gmlrs is expensive. I think pinaka gives enough bang for buck!
