What else can you engage with a max range of 6km and velocity of Mach 1.5 other than helicopters, UAVs and cruise missiles?

(Don't mention aircraft because the time period when MANPADS were first devised we used to have slow moving aircraft flying close to the ground providing strafing fire. But now we've more or less completely replaced CAS with stand-off weapons)

And it's not just VSHORADS, every single MANPADS currently in existence from Stinger to Mistral is primarily designed to take out helicopters. If they manage to down an aircraft then it's just sheer luck

I think the maneuverability points are with loitering muntions & drones in mind.

(A small niché exception would be things like BrahMos which performs evasive maneuvers but it has two major issues; it don't have the "randomness" of a human pilot reacting and it's not a dynamic maneuver performed to evade missiles coming from a specific direction. But exception just prove the rule)

Even if each Shahed is personally blessed by Khamenei then also they won't be able to perform any maneuver worth defeating a missile.

Obviously...if you're low enough then you can be engaged with heavy machine guns let alone sophisticated IIR MANPADS like VSHORAD.

But the whole point of flying nap-of-the-earth is to delay the detection by ADS. Not to mention the fact that for a MANPADS team the maximum sensor would be Eyeball Mk-I and binoculars...so shooting would be easy in this case but detection would be difficult.

Someone ask him how much would he take for designing a liquid fueled rocket motor with IM properties, that can be stored for extended period...struggling for quite a while with this tech.

My hate for gernails and Jai ho gang is well known
But in this case u feel it's being pushed by pmo itself and rather army being not interested coz if u see reports consistently stating army flagging concerns and poor performance of the platform
But the push is coming from MoD or PMO
