If we're indeed going in for Strykers & Javelins which seem to be the case , I've a strong feeling all those other big ticket items like additional P-8I, Apaches, Chinooks, C-130J , etc aren't materializing.

We may see an odd purchase here or there but other than that I don't think it'd be anything substantial.

Hence low value non strategic tactical items like purchase of Strykers, Javelins, etc. are on the table.

This is by far the most phoren import skeptic gormint in this country. Only a handful of truly big ticket defence deals (along with some piecemeal orders). It is like some folks expect a systematic overhaul altogether - the limited capabilities of the state notwithstanding.

This gormint is fiscally uber conservative. Bulk purchase/muh ToT of any phoren gear is unlikely. At best some piecemeal orders might be placed to appease the orange man.
