DRDO and PSU's

why is this a suprise , this came up on our old forum as well, most of the deals are political reason. so there is never a fair chance to our domestic manufacturers. well folks its business as usual
point is this is true dependence tanks ifv armoured vehicles are frontline equipments for army just like aircrafts for iaf
Until now our most of the mechanised formation have equipments with their supply chain and logistics presents in india we arent dependent on russia in case of tanks and bmp and if force comes we can manage it
Yes we have engine dependency in case of armoured vehicles but still we can manage
But in case of stryker 550units will barely have indigenization and americans can never replicate the indigenization of bmp or t series of tanks
They can easily control our offensive and policy with the help of stryker as they are frontline equipments without which its not possible to fight

Problem is our leaders need to take a stand, As a work around They could have asked for few F15 s without any strings instead of strikers

Lt Gen (R) P Ravi Shankar committed to realise this with his team by 2025 in 2017-18. Around 2 years ago , I recall seeing a clip of him informing us the project was 50% realised but 50% a failure .

We've no clue where's it heading as of now whereas Lt Gen Ravi Shankar is seen daily with a new episode on his channel Gunners Shot on YT , chatting up his retired buddies much like old generals used to in the not so recent past in services clubs after a game of golf while downing pints of whisky .

is there publicly available information on the business of fighter jet integration in Indian context?

like the number of lead times, dependencies, number of vendors, today mandays, total project timeline etc. rough idea from within the industry, not second hand info. exact details not needed either.

What they are ready to wait for GD to integrate 600hp engines and test it along with all certification
As 350hp will perform pathetically
All this for a foreign origin platform
Amazing!
