DRDO and PSU's

What happened to AWEIL Dhanush guns delivery?

Can someone tell me that can PSUs blatantly delay such delivery and not hold accountable like financial penalty or not being allowed to participate in future tenders?

Same thing happened with amca, lca, tejas mk2 and countless indigenous programs.

We all know the reason behind these deliberate stalling of projects.

Lot's of program were stuck during this phase. Lca mk2 was delayed. AMCA was in limbo. Now we are learning project 76 was stuck. Even after 36 rafale mrca was abandoned.
So many questions.

Any idea what this critical component is? We have BF from Kalyani building an entire artillery system, arent there any analogulous systems used in ATAGS or Bharat series of artillery that can replace this component? Or can we not atleast leverage the design and manufacturing know how from these two products to develop replacements for the said product? Just curious.

they're competitors for army orders, I doubt they will share

Dont have to share, they can be vendors of components, has AWEIL even attempted to find alternate vendors? Or develop the component in-house, they have had nearly half a decade sitting on their asses.

I dont know which critical component but I read it dainik bhaskar "due to gaza conflict israel was unable to supply this critical component" they were working on indigenous replacement according to dainik bhaskar
Most probably babus in aweil aren't taking help from kalyani is maybe due to thier ego or kalyani is unwilling

It's claimed to be around 80% indigenous so my guess would be either Inertial Navigation System and/or laying-sighting system. Maybe in rare cases the Auxiliary Power Unit too.

These are the only technologically complicated thing that makes sense to import. Everything else in an artillery is just big chunks of steel and hydraulics. We have been churning out those since decades.

Not in usual sense of two competing firm, Apple can't use the AI ecosystem of Samsung in their iPhones no matter how much better it is.

Government has to step in and negotiate with BF to either transfer the concerned IPRs to AWEIL for a royalty or move into a JV; otherwise, it's pretty much impossible.
What kind of payload will Ghatak carry, given its capacity is going to be 1.5 tonnes ?
On the design it's being made, it's payload would be limited to a max of either 2x 1,000lbs bombs or more of smaller ones like 500lbs or SAAW.
Enough of a tangent, let's come back to Ghatak. Ghatak started as AURA in 2009; the sake time period when everyone was playing with this concept...Taranis, nEUROn, X-45; a small, stealth, UCAV "bomber" that'll be used in either of these two scenarios. One, it'll go undetected into enemy territory and drop a bomb to take out the terrorist leader during a COIN operation and even if it's downed by enemy air-defence then also it's just a drone. Second, in case of a LSCO it'll form the first wave of attack that'll degrade enemy air-defence so that the following waves of conventional manned fighters can operated with ease.
If they decide to address this issue, then it can carry all sorts of weapons from Rudram-1 to do SEAD to Astra-II acting as a "missile truck" type Loyal Wingman.
