DRDO and PSU's

(PS: In case someone brings in altitude and available power at low oxygen; SW-51 Mustang is powered by the same Rotax 916 and has a max operating altitude of 23,000ft)
Umm akhtchually . The mustang needed a massive supercharger to operate at those altitudes.

K5 SLBM ? 🤔 or Agni series ICBM 🤔

:indian-flag: :pound::hurray:

let's party 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 😎

Russian Topol-M is 22 Metres&2-Metres in Length and Diameter weighing in 47-Tons and having 11,000-Km range.

Keeping aside Range aside can someone tell me how some missile almost similar diameter but 8m more length has lesser weight?

Is it due to usage of high percentage of composites or titanium? What's going on here?

Force is still kicking a 50 year old OM-616 turbo diesel (2.6 liter, 91hp, 250nm torque) mated to a G28 gearbox and made BS-6 compliant. Their current best engine is a 25 year old Mercedes OM-611 (2.2 liter, 140hp, 321nm torque) that was discontinued on Mercedes cars 18 years ago. Force hasn't figured out how to make the 611 BS-6 compliant so the engine isn't even offered on 4th gen Gurkhas anymore. And they'll keep using that G28 gearbox till the earth shatters. Now you can argue that they are doing much better than Tata Desh ka loha that is allergic towards any meaningful in-house engine R&D.

OM-616 is reliable, and Force is not going to jump into Trucks. They are happy to sell Travellor since there is no competition. Urbania is the first modern approach. Also, they have this monopoly in that segment for decades.

AL uses their own engine, Mahindra use their own engine Mpower. Tata have turbotronn for their LCV. But for HCV they are debted to Cummins. Force is not a great example. But they can invest in R&D, unless travellor is threatened by someone.

Honestly I don't think even Chinese invested hard r&d in ICE. They take decades to master and need ancillary Industries like Precision Machinery and Test Facilities to succeed. Now Chinese Automakers are focusing on EVs.

Lid opening mechanism for Ballistic Missiles 🚀💪🕉🇮🇳☢️

IMO these bulky opening mechanism is used for SLBM Launch tube or SILO BASED Ballistic missiles

Mechanism :
1. 4 locks opens (Lock Release)
2. Lid cap opener starts
3. Lid cap will have >90° Angle with tube
4. Missile fire 🚀

----‐---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Compact version "optimised to occupy less space" is used for SSBN's like P80 launch tube

So above one is with 4 x Lock Release is mostly for Ballistic Missiles SILO's.......

P80 launch tube for reference

FYI None of our Road/Rail TEL use above mechanism.....

So SILO's are there 😍💪 :pound:

Sometimes you have to follow: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

For the market where Force motors work, there is no competition and their existing line of Travellers works well, hence no urgent need to move to any new engine. However, they keep the existing OM-611, 616 up to date as much as possible.

Yes this is sensible and I don't think Force is doing anything wrong. But, because of this lack of "need" the industry isn't maturing fast enough. And with the onset of useless EVs being pushed onto everyone, I fear our industry will never master modern internal combustion engines before EVs become mainstream. Only hope I have right now is someone figuring out the efficient storage of Hydrogen, so we can keep the combustion engine around.
