DRDO and PSU's

I think they will have it on P18 first, then start making frigates and all with the same radar.

It's like how the P15A Kolkata class was the first to field the MF-STAR/Barak-8/Brahmos combo, later there was P15B, P17A Nilgiri, most likely P17B also, and from the screengrab we know NGC will also have the same package.

I'd assume before they put this on P18 for realsies, one of the older ships will be MLUd with a smaller version of this radar for field-testing, like how VLSRSAM is on a certain Rajput class destroyer, or that one Imported Spanish radar was fitted on INS Mysore first before being standard on P17A Nilgiris
It's already being tested on INS Avnesh

Extended range anti submarine rocket.
Replacement for rbu rockets.
Much needed not only against torpedoes but new modern underwater/surface unamanned vehicle threat that Is emerging.

Not getting rid of rbu rockets is turning into a a W for navy.

Because of the unmanned threat, every obsolete tech is making a come back like those oerlikon AA guns in the Army, recently L&T got an order for those

They were not obsolete even before unamanned systems, as torpedoes still existed.

If astra mk3 enters service, than France won't have much problem with local assembly or even manufacturing of Meteor, as we would already have the tech.
@BON PLAN, your opinion?
I think a year ago mbda had offered atgm tot or local assembly jv something like that forgot details.
I had posted all details on dfi but forgot all.
Today we have all kinds of atgms.

If they had given this offer like 5-8 years ago this would have been win win for both.

Europeans especially the French always offer a collaboration or JV or ToT when we're on the verge of a break through or have already achieved what we desire.

That's the reason SAFRAN is collaborating with HAL to develop & mfg the TS for the IMRH program .

That's how MBDA offered a JV for their ATGMs with BDL (?) .

The list goes on but I doubt they'd do so with the Meteor. I'd further argue we don't need such a JV & it's best we develop its analogue on our own.

Htse 1200 is one of those victim
The progress seems slowed down intentionally to keep French mens happy. Many milestones were achieved like 3 years ago
We should have had put that engine on a helo by now look at turkish timeline of equivalent engine. Despite not having infrastructure & unlike india who inherited alot of tech from licence manufacturing & programs like kaveri we haven't put htse on a helo while they have succeeded doing so.

We're doomed nothing is seriously done in this country this French men & russkies foreign lobbies have given unprecedented damage.
Can't imagine if we could have had import options for icbms.
