DRDO & PSUs (36 Viewers)

We could have paid Uncle Sam's jiziya through P8i's and chinooks man. Why go for Stryker :shoot:
BAboons are clueless
That economic times article has Defense secretary saying that Army has rejected non amphibious version.. and US will offer an amphibious version for trial.
But, the headline is the exact opposite

30km range with 14km flight ceiling of Akash Ng seems outrageously low. Siper Block-2 from the mehmets has a 30km flight ceiling and 150km operational range. What am I missing? Either DRDO royally messed up its development, or they are not telling the full picture. Akash-Ng looks to be the anomaly, other SAMs with that profile have similar range/flight ceiling as the Siper

Barak8 can do 100km+
Akash NG is basically Barak8 in terms of form factor

It could very well be User's requirement is of 30km onlee and so that is what is stated

Could also be due to a potential non-compete clause in MRSAM development contract with IAI.
I remember initially the range of 70-80km was floating around for Akash-NG.

It's incredibly dumb to shill for an imported product that still failed the Army's trials.
Imagine how bad it is if even the Generals are pushing back.

Strykers and Javelins will NOT be inducted in significant numbers (if inducted at all). I have been hearing about Strykers/Javelins for God knows how many years now....

Dolunf will be gone in 2029 and ya'll will still keep talking about Strykers and Javelins. :bplease:

Let's hope you are correct.

Anyway Tata is going to buy a controlling stake in Iveco

Now this must be regular dhandho stuff however

Iveco is making the US Marine's Stryker replacement IFV/APC which is also amphibious

This is pure scam
not only officers are involved but many politicians and middlemen are involved too
I dont know why opposition is quite

Opposition is owned by the US.
What do you expect?

Anyway this princely order of 6 choppers was a jaziya purchase only.

Besides you could get the burgers to integrate stuff to let the chopper communicate with other assets, MH60R operated by the navy has the same BEL Link II that is also on P8I and all the ships.

Our guys chose not to, as for why, who knows?
