Bulk of our phone market buys Chinese brands, which is much more consequential. Not a good sign. Lenovo is all Chinese but in name. This is a serious breach of national security.
Mediatek is not chinese. Some low end phones come with Tshinghua's T-processors, other than that 95% are non Chinese.Bulk of our phone market buys Chinese brands, which is much more consequential.
Even many Samsung models use MediaTek processor.

Bhai bhool jao koi bhi chinese company can thrive which has constant tussle eith CCP.Lenovo is probably the only Chinese company I can welcome here. The only one who works truly like an American or European company and have constant tussle with CCP.
Lenovo is not only thriving but succeeding in Corporate Electronics Business. They are there to stay.Bhai bhool jao koi bhi chinese company can thrive which has constant tussle eith CCP.
Lenovos are just milking IBM machines they bought 15 16 years ago. IBM machines were rock solid esp their laptops. Damn company laptops were used roughly for years but damn no hinges got broken, no plastic parts cracked.
when lenovos first models came immediately saw there was diff in build quality. Seemed cost cutting.
Lenovos servers wont have inhouse GPU or CPU chips. server blades are usually flashed by the purchasing companies as tons of security policies get slapped onto them before they are hooked to internal network.
What I am saying is no company can continue as it is while having tussle with CCP. Remember Alibaba founder? Lenovos are part and parcel of Chinese spying ecosystem.Lenovo is not only thriving but succeeding in Corporate Electronics Business. They are there to stay.
They are simply too big to fail for China.
I have been using Lenovo ThinkPad pretty much my whole IT carrier and see same good built quality so far. I am on my 3rd ThinkPad (we have to get them change every 4-5 year as company policy) and 4th one is due soon.

The RRP, all of it's subsidiaries Specially the RRP Electronics, almost all staff is filled with ex government scientific, PSU's and military employees, the way they got premission from government and able to started the operation of OSAT at a new facility in just 6 months, RRP Electronics was registered with the Register of Company this year only, and during bhoomi pujan and yesterday opening ceremony filled wih BARC, DRDO and other Instuites is a dead give away that the both state with Central has their hand in this firm in unofficial capacity, the way the paperwork and premission moved for them at lighting speed is almost never seen before.Which company are you talking about & what is it's nature of business ?
It could also be the case that these are ex government employees who've started out on their own without any government stake. That could explain the reason it was granted permissions quickly. Where's the evidence it is a government undertaking or has a government stake in it ? If that was the case there has to be a press notification at the very least. There's no such thing as unofficial capacity. This isn't Paxtan or China where such activities are possible or maybe even routine. The RRP, all of it's subsidiaries, almost all staff is filled with ex government scientific, PSU's and military employees, the way they got premission from government and able to started the operation of OSAT at a new facility in just 6 months and during bhoomi pujan and yesterday opening ceremony filled wih BARC, DRDO and other Instuites is a dead give away that the both state with Central has their hand in this firm in unofficially capacity, the way the paperwork and premission moved for them at lighting speed is almost never seen before.
Who knews, will take time till we get a clear picture of it's share holding for now it's a private firm so not much details on Investors available, but the way they were able to pull the all things and get operationlized withing 9 months of registering with Register of companies is highly commendable, and clearly a exception in India. It could also be the case that these are ex government employees who've started out on their own without any government stake.
