India begins developing its own AI chip, likely to roll out by 2027: Report​

The ministry of electronics and information technology (Meity) has partnered with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-Dac) and the National e-Governance Division to design the chip from the ground-up, the reported said​

IIT Madras also had made a RISC-V based microprocessor called Shakti many years back.
It was sent to some Intel facility abroad for fabrication( dunno which country )
