Agreed. Look at our chaps from 21, Maybe not all of them (have not seen the whole unit obviously) but have heard operatives always mentioning the fitness culture in that unit.
Our diet become carb loaded. Balancing them will be beneficial. But we don't know how special forces guys diet.

Took long time to understand this. Cut down sugar, started to include eggs, paneer, tofu, yogurt, chicken for last few months. Significant growth in muscles. I eat non veg in secrecy so bought whey protein from Amul.

Currently trying to achieve 70-100g everyday
I understand its difficult for people with Veg family traditions.

For me its free that way and what i do is…

4 eggs omelette..2 with yolk for breakfast.

Lunch is chicken curry mostly and once a week mutton..i am not much into red meat.

Snack is Greek yogurt with salt and pepper..not a fan of sugar.

Dinner is chicken breast and mashed potatoes or chapati and sukha chicken with decent amount of leafy veggies.

2 scoops of Isopure, some supplinents for vitamins and minerals and substitute for eating less salad the green powder.

Man. Again endurance can be achieved when you are training with weights/Doing cardio for consistent time. Lean and bulk is basically how much fat you want to store. It is based on your diet preferences. Reduce calorie you will achieve lean muscle vice versa.

There is no correlation only when you are lean you have high endurance.
By lean I mean not too much muscle mass.
I'm talking about pic 1.

Vegetarianism...another necessary evil when it comes to the army. Should be blasphemous just like "Ahimsa" specially for a professional killing force.
How ? And what's problem with vegetarianism
I am vegetarian and I used to play wrestling i know many of my friends who are vegetarian with one of the best body with bulk and endurance
All this mainly depend on genetic
I buy your all protein intake thing and agree with it but there are alot of veg hi protein
And even AK in hand of malnourished mf will do same damage as one in hand of Mr Olympia
In cqb even if Mr Olympia do everything right still chances that Mr Olympia might get killed

Nothing against vegetarians but sometimes it is too much, 'Koi kisi ko maarkr kaise kha skta hai'...

Even the attitude towards protein shakes and other outsources of protein, fuss like 'heart-attack aa jayega/ lever khraab ho jayega' eliminates the only the chance of suitable protein intakes for our SF chaps!:D

Nothing against vegetarians again bhai but most of the vegetarians have this ignorant type of attitude that 'khud nhi khaunga aur dusro ko bhi nhi khaane dunga'!

Here's an small example, in a state like Goa, the govt. decided that children won't be given eggs in mid-day meals cuz 20% of the total strength of students were vegetarians and their parents protested...

Non vegetarian protein sources are easier to come by, cheaper, lean i.e good calorie : protein ratio and complete i.e you don't have to complement one thing with three other things cause your amino acid profile is crap

I take around 120 gms of protein per day, life made easier due to meat and whey

If it were upto me, I'd have all the jawans have same amount of protein per day, cause the excessive cardio they're doing will invariably result in two things, muscle loss and fatigue, sufficient easily digested protein in quantities, coupled with weight training will counter both that

I not khud nhi khaunga dusro ko bhi nahi khane dunga i think if someone prefers non veg then it is thier choice and let them consume it its thier choice

Non veg is great source of protein i agree and as i said i am not opposing it they want they should eat it
What I wanted to say is veg is also great source of protein guy i was replying seems to hate vegetarian thats why

When it comes to protein peanuts have more protein then chicken and many other alternate options are present
If you want to say that protein intake makes body bigger and bulky it's your misconceptions
It's totally based on genetics and lineage
South Indian are mostly non-vegetarian and includes fish in daily routine still shorter and lean than Indians from north where half of the population never touch flesh and other than tastes once a while
Same concept with japanese chinese Indonesians etc there is plenty of non veg in their food still shorter and lean
So on my opinion body of a person depends on his lineage history and geography
Plant protein is lower quality compared to animal protein like meat and dairy if goal Is to build lean mass
"Collectively, animal protein tends to be more beneficial for lean mass than plant protein, especially in younger adults."

For some like me most of the Veg sources of proteins causes soo much bloating and i am in a profession where my body pressurises and de pressurises 4-8 times a day.

I have had gas pains due to lentils and beans so its no thank you very much.

Simple chicken curry or egg curry with rice or chapati and salad or fruits is my favourite meal.

And all this guilt inducing by Veggies is true..some people call me Rakshaha and i jokingly say I am a Rajput and we are forbidden do eat and drink as we like.😁😁

When it comes to protein peanuts have more pro
100 grms of peanuts has 26 grms of protein while having almost 550 calories while 100 gm of chicken has 27 gm protein with only 230 something calories their is a big difference in both of these starting from the quality of protein protein from chicken is of better quality and has better bioavailability and who tf is gonna eat 100 gm of peanuts with all that fat content in that too most vegetarian protein sources have poor amino acid profile and average bioavailability except for Milk products and Soy which well some people like or don't the debate is going on forever but saying their are better options available as vegetarians is bullshit.

Yeah no that's bullshit. Your height, body structure, bone density can be determined by genetics but given the right diet and training regimen, anyone can be built, agile, and have a peak physique. Of course, no one is saying that Indian operatives have to be as tall or as bulky as Caucasians or Africans. But that doesn't mean our soldiers have to look like lanky ass Mexican cartel dudes.
As for vegetarians, in today's day and age, there are tons of vegetarian protein sources. Granted plant based proteins aren't as great as animal proteins, but that doesn't mean the deficit cannot be met with supplements. If you're serious about doing it, anyone can!
Case and point, we have seen whole squads of Para SF and MARCOS with absolutely ripped and built physiques. At the same time we've seen guys who look like they couldn't fill up a Plate Carrier, with the cummerbund tightened up all the way.
