Another dog and pony show. Totally useless.

well, it's military diplomacy.

after nuclear tests in 98 and kargil in 99, something had to be done to calm the nerves of the murican security establishment about sooth asia. so well wishers of the India-U.S relationship at that time, thought both militaries will have to interact with each other more, to reduce misunderstandings.

yudh abhyas started in 2002.
nuclear deal happened in 2005.

While US plays sheningans in India’s backyard with respect to Bangladesh. I think India needs to send a strong message by canceling the exercises and boot out American assets.

It's important to show Indian Army officers where they are with regards to the best in terms of modernisation Otherwise they would keep blowing their own trumpet of "we are the best"
They are doing these exercises since a long time now, with small, big every country even smaller country troops are better equipped than ours and the brass couldn’t care less,it’s high time we accept brass doesn’t give two fucks about modernisation as they don’t have any consequences for fking up,accountability hai nhi aur marega toh jawan it’s a win win situation.

Armying small army is easy and cheaper

The violent change of government in Bangladesh was done without India’s consent and US had a huge role in that. India really needs to step up its game and tell US to fuck off.

I would rather have more exercises, more training and war games than photo op exercises.

And we need to curtail our collaboration with US until they understand that our security interests need to be respected
