New economic data shows stagnant consumption and falling exports are weighing heavily on Japan's economy. And US President Trump's tough trade polices are not expected to make things better.

Japan's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) contracted by 0.2% compared to the previous quarter, the first quarterly drop since the January-March period in 2024.

However, compared with the same quarter in the previous year, Japan's economy shrank by 0.7% — much steeper than the forecast 0.2% contraction

Yeah that's because the whiteys buying them are getting scammed.

Homes in Japan are temporary, make no mistake. Due to their geology, things like houses aren't supposed to be permanent. Infact, these houses when bought/inherited attract so much taxes(govt measure to ensure these are regularly knocked down and rebuilt according to latest earthquake code) that they are unable to sell the house itself, only the land. They sometimes sell the land and the houses comes for free.

Guess which people don't get the intricacies and get really to buy both the land, the house, and pay the high tax of getting an authentic japanese house?

Is it really the end of LDP? They have been america's steadfast servants for about 70 years now!
The Japanese left is apparently less hawkish than the center-right LDP-Komeito alliance who themselves don't seem very interested in helping taiwan in case xina goes after them. Plus a section of the left is very anti-western and will attempt to restrict the free run american troops have over japan raping and keeling whoever they want. This is not even mentioning a section of japanese commies who believe in whole "muuh red oriental unity with xina" non sense. I can't imagine america letting the left take control of japan.
Only option left is the sanseito "far right" party. Who i suspect are CIA plants to blunt xenophobic japanese sentiments against the west, tourists and moslem immigrants. Those guys are far too cohesive, far too rich and have too much coverage in all national/international media, pretty much the opposite of any other japanese far right party.
