I'm sure AD positions must've also been moved around in the 2 months time so it's not like the intel collected from the recon drones within the drone swarms launched from May 8-10 are any good. If someone like Hellfire knows about such a thing being expected, imagine what actively serving officers know? If this is an attempt at face saving, I can't imagine it going well for Muneera even in the initial attack unless they want to imitate Iran and launch ballistic missiles.

What could even be done to counter such a move? More robust counter intelligence sounds like a move that will take a while to come to desired levels and even that may not be 100% work. More strict rules regarding transportation around places where the forces are present? Shoot at sight orders for suspicious looking vehicles around a perimeter? Bhargavastra?

not exactly sure if i am reading this right. a few pointers from my end.

- India's U.S policy is independent of pakistan. U.S's India policy is dependant on pakistan because of the way they marked their theatres. Pak comes under their af-pak middle east theatre, India comes under asia-pacific/indo-pacific. but pak meddles in India using terrorism, so pakiland becomes an irritant in India-US diplomacy.

- U.S defence relationship with India is related to their china policy, not pakiland as such. but China arms pakiland with weapons, as of now it is our headache to solve on our own.

- EU's new oil price cap and russia related sanctions are from a totally different theatre, i.e eurasia. yet to read up on details of these new round of sanctions, specifically need to check what they have said about china importing russian energy. basically this point is unrelated to paki issue.

there is not only one reason for state to take position and a conglomerate of reasons that is more advantages than the other.. here's how I think.

India's US policy can be independent of Pakistan because there is no security element to it. (mostly trade, technology, people connect) however, same is not true for US. indo-pacific or Asia pacific is nice way of saying Anti-China essentially includes of Malecca dilemma, string of pearls, CPEC and such.

Now guess Anti-India block on the same lines.. yes, Pakistan is the main player and US deals with it as such.
