These kind of water diversion plan will take a lot of time. Especially, getting the water from High altitude region like Kashmir to low lying areas like Punjab. Also, planning includes how to harness the water for power, agriculture and drinking etc. We need to do detailed plan. Otherwise, this may go like Uttarkhand situation were too much work done without giving concern possible environmental damage.
