The explicitly stated objective of Operation Sindhoor was to carry out punitive strikes against terrorists and their infrastructure in Pakistan. We had no intention of escalating any further. If Pakistan had not escalated, then we would have stopped right after bombing terrorists camps. Even after second round of bombings, when we bombed Pakistani air-fields, we gave Pakistan an offramp. Unfortunately, instead of taking the offramp, Pakistan decided to further escalate and started to gear up for a nuclear strike on India. It is then, India started to go after Pakistani nuclear installations with an aim of decapitating its ability to launch nuclear attack on India. Once Pakistan's nuclear installations started to get hit, Pakistan began to panic. They called US. Interestingly, they did not call China. US called India. India told US that Pakistan will need to initiate the request for ceasefire. Pakistan complied and thus we had a ceasefire.

We had to pause our further strikes to assess the extent of radioactive leaks. After all, we are right next to Pakistan and therefore, we had to be careful because we ourselves could have gotten affected by the radiation if it were excessive.

U.S. can effectively contain any radiation within Pakistan, so there's no need for concern. Moreover, there are multiple measures available to counter radiation, even if it were to reach India.

"Use" is counted as launched. If we intercept, that still counts as them being launched.

In practice, I believe we'll make it sure they can't even launch their aircrafts to get the missile on air, and we'll probably try to bomb any nuke facility preemptively if we see a serious danger of them ground launching.
