In my humble opinion, Indian Air Force should have around 10K - 15K aircrafts, given the geopolitical challenges India faces. This can only be achieved through domestic production.

Su-30MKI is currently capable of carrying the BrahMos missile, and the Tejas MK1A will soon be equipped to launch the BrahMos-NG (Next Generation) variant. The Su-30MKI will also be able to carry more than one BrahMos-NG missile. Tejas MK2 will carry two BrahMos-NG missiles.

BrahMos is the best cruise missiles in the world, with the unique capability of being launched from land, air, sea, and even from submarines.

I hope the upcoming Ghatak UCAV might also be capable of carrying the BrahMos-NG in future.

This is an ultimate goal. The number is based on my assessment of geopolitical challenges India faces. The current geopolitical state informs me that the future will be full of conflict for us if we want to retain our civilizational aspirations.

As India's aspirations grow, with it will grow India's global footprint; this will put India at odds with existing global power brokers in Asia, West Asia, Central Asia, Europe, Africa, Americas, etc. We are a standalone civilization; what this means is, that we will be unable to seek alliances based on cultural and religious affinity; this will leave us alone in our fight.

In a high intensity conflict involving multiple nations on multiple continents, we will need 3K aircrafts in reserve just to defend ourselves. We can continue adding more aircrafts (manned and unmanned*) as we build overseas bases. We have to plan for future in advance.

Question for any Mod/Senior Member that sees this. Keeping in mind the way things are developing in the artificial state of Pakistan nowadays, and the fact that most people among us at this point do roughly agree it is in India, the Subcontinent and the world's best interests for Pakistan to break apart in one way or the other (with certain specific details remaining to be ironed out) - is it time that we create a special dedicated thread to the Balkanization/Endgame of Pakistan?

It can include discussions on this topic among members, various different ideas on how exactly to go about it/what the final map should specifically look like, and also posting constant updates on actions and progress by various freedom fighter groups/movements, as well as mass civilian uprisings against illegal Pakistani occupation of Balochistan, Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Saraikistan and PoJK - particularly Gilgit Baltistan? Would also be a good place to document information on various Human Rights abuses and violations by Pakistan, which could also be used to spread awareness.

This drone strategy seems to have been influenced by the turks? They used a dron strategy in
Armenia war and now they are implementing the same strategy with the inbreds against india
with disasterous results. They seem to be trying to create a market for their drones??

Turkish goals are multiple here

1. Prove to Pakistan and other countries in the muslim world in the heat of the moment Turkey will be a reliable supplier.
2. Make extra bucks by fleecing Pakistanis. Fact Songar costs almost same as Polish warmate is atrociously greedy.
3. Try Turkish drones in a much sophisticated AD environment like India and see the results.
4. As you mentioned market for Turkish drones.

Goal 4 failed miserably as we do not see a single Turkish drone footage made public. Ironically, this inturn turned into a marketing opportunity for Indian AD platforms.

Not all Su30 MKI's can carry BrahMos, only a handful. We need more.
