Operation Sindoor and Aftermath (72 Viewers)

First Rafale landed in 2021 it’s 2025 and yet meteors aren’t integrated and IAF went into operation sindoor defenless and lost a Rafale. Imagine the same is done by HAL delivering Tejas without any weapons/ Astra integration the IAF chief would be doing pressers after pressers how HAL can’t deliver anything.

Software Development Institute (SDI) has yet to receive the test rig from Dassault Aviation, despite this being stipulated in the contract over eight years ago. Additionally, there is no visible indication of any test rig for the Mirage-2000 platform. This suggests that both the Mirage-2000 and Rafale aircraft are still not fully integrated into the Indian Air Force’s Network-Centric Warfare (NCW) framework or the IAF Air Command and Control System (IACCS).

As expected French scammed us & didn't delivered what they promised.

This is some different level dope - Above tweet claims.
Most of his tweets are praising viper shield of F16.
He claimed SPECTRA dosen't work in sync with RBE2 AESA. Which is absurd. He claimed some Active SPECTRA mode are trying to Jam own RBE2. So if TWS is to be on RBE2 then SPECTRA needs to be turned off. What a logic
Looks utopian conspiracy i don't buy it one bit.
SPECTRA active mode uses RBE2 as a Jammer. Period.

Take whatever this guy says with a fistful of salt. He used to be one of the regulars on Trishul - PKS's blog , constantly bombarding him with questions & then amplifying what PKS put out with his own special flavouring on Twitter .

He got into quite a few tangles on Strat Front & was brutally exposed there for his lack of technical depth , losing all his clothes in the process.

If the news of Rafales still not having fucking Meteors during the recent engagement is true, that is an absolutely colossal fuckup and fixing of accountability + consequences have to happen. Not remotely acceptable.

And as strongly as I was in favor of a combined mega-deal for local production of Rafales to supply both the IAF and IN, it's time to arm-twist Dassault for the source code if they want such a huge deal. The way the lack of source code-sharing played a role in Rafales having to operate dangerously close to enemy defensive systems/measures this time is not acceptable at all either.

French will never share source codes of Rafale. They will integrate meteors and call it done. If we want to integrate into our network centric warfare then we have to beg French to do it and they won’t let us sniff anywhere near hands on source codes.
IAF should have forced French to integrate meteors than sitting like a duck with handicapped Rafale.

I agree with this 100%. We need induction of QRSAM, Akash-NG, Kusha, AD-1 & AD-2 to reach a capability close to IDF. At scale deployment itself is a challenge, Israel's size vis-a-vis India.

Not hundreds -- Pakistan fired more than 1K drones within a span of two days at India; India shot down every single one of them, including six or so BMs and CMs.

We are badass Hindu niggas!

Where is this source coming from that meteor wasn't integrated with rafales.
Any article and author?

Then they'll be selling a lot fewer planes than they were hoping to. At that point India would be better off intensifying work on - and opening up new private production lines of - various Tejas family aircraft (potentially including the two engine spinoff) + focusing on upgrading its existing Sukhoi fleet to the long discussed Super Sukhoi standard and ordering new ones

But the Rafael's did fire the 'scalp' missiles, didn't they? Or were those from another plane?

They did have them, but as a veteran on another forumn put it - SCALP's aren't the kind of weapon that gets used on any and every target, way too expensive/premium for that. According to him, after the initial strikes (and potential damage/loss due to Rafales being too close) - IAF started just using Rafales in a defensive CAP type role. Which may be (one of) the "tactical error/change(s)" that CDS alluded to.

Nope, Nur Khan base was clearly hit with SCALP missiles, the sound of the Turbojet engines is very well audible. It is the only air launched cruise missile in IAF's inventory apart from BrahMos that otoh uses Ramjet engine.

Is this the only case of SCALP use you know of after the initial round, or are there other ones? Either way, the explanation(s) I saw suggested that the Rafales were way less active in strike roles after that initial issue.

One had crashed 37km away from Sargodha, no signs of shrapnel damage indicating no interception, meaning it might've fell short of range or malfunctioned.

I see, so fundamentally, as the vet said, there was limited usage of SCALP's/Rafales in strike role during the hits on PAF bases right?

What was primarily used for those strikes then - mainly Brahmos?

Note: Also is there any way to just type the name of the missile without the image of the missile auto-posting?

So why did we order Rafale M for Navy? The biggest disadvantage is Rafael refuses to share source code so our technicians can integrate it into our CCS. Sometimes an inferior plane but one that is well integrated into our network systems is better. I hope the Tejas matures into a versatile airframe. We also need to move quickly with unmanned fighters. The world is changing. And we cannot be catching up with 20th century war machines. We have a lot of inefficiency still. Hope by 2030 the private MIC gets a lot of supply chain established and becomes futuristic.

Proof kaha hai.....Downed jet kaha hai......Dono engine kaha hai.........

Till the time IAF officially mentions I'm gonna ignore all these so called updates. Kutto ke bhonke se kuch nhi hota.......khali bartan zyada awaaz karte hai

I dont think there is any good source available online that says Meteors are not integrated with Rafale although there are sources which says meteors are deployed with Rafale and IAF efforts to deploy same on Mirage2000 and MKI were rejected by MBDA…

So definitely Meteors were available with Rafale, but on first night IAF due to ROE set by I dont know which fools, never fired a shot on paf and were strictly targeting terror hubs which is a tactical mistake…

If I have to guess probably IAF was confident enough to say to Govt we can take out terror camps without being in danger … so this kind of ROE hence the acknowledged Tactical mistake by military…

On other hand PAF was having good amount of time and range to take out few fighters of IAF due to this tactical mistake…

Which might have cost them a Rafale or M2K and Mig,
Also as long as Operation Sindoor is ongoing it would be foolish to provide enemy information about IAF losses which they can use as proven strategy next time.
