Another way to handle shitposting is to create separate thread for shitposting whenever some major incident happens and tell posters to go bonkers on there.
Most of the discord servers follow this method. Shitposting thread will go inactive once the heat waves pass away.

Majority of the posters here are in 30s/40s anyway. The younger ones can be redirected to the temp thread.

Rate limiting the thread(like maybe 2-3 minutes) is probably the easiest way out. When folks know they cannot just keep spamming posts and can only post once every few minutes - they usually tend to think it through.

At some point if I remember correctly DFI even used to have a global minimum character limit for all posts(though they removed it later). Makes sense for that thread.

CNN has zero credibility in the eyes of all right wingers and even many liberals (who just enjoy and support the lies). CNN even posted some BS from an "anonymous source" saying Pakis destroyed Indian jets yesterday. Yet CNN remains globally popular.

You will see the same biases in all the major western publications. Washington Post has made Rana Ayyub a globally leading unbaised author lol New York Times, DW, Guardian etc. often have Muslims write about HIndus.

I am not worried at all about Indian newspaper credibility. All newspapers and TV channels lie and have biases.

But it was very annoying today to go through this thread and weed out the 10% accurate information!

If it's all disinformation we should support own media, at least they will put our narratives

Just did a quick check on Arnab. He removed his coat and moved the destruction coverage to Islamabad now. He will definitely decimate whole pak by tomorrow morning.

Imagine being a Paki and watching his show at this hour.

Our news channels might look bit clownish. But I think they are good for our common people consumption. Average Indian won't be questioning our forces or GoI. They firmly believe that we are winning big.

This type of jingoism is good for our country to a certain level. If all of us are rational thinkers and watch only very well polished coverage, how ready will we be to fight for nation when real shi* hits the fan?
