by the way @Azaad bhau, your bottom status there saying 'Revenge is the purest emotion' is not there in Mahabharat, as far as i know, it's some quote attributed to draupadi's characterisation post cheer-haran incident

I never said there was a quote to that effect in The MB else I'd put in quotation marks & post the name of the character it was attributed to.

Revenge is the overall theme of The MB with multiple people seeking to settle scores across the space time dynamic.

In fact the war at Kurukshetra was also in large part about settling scores between the Kauravas & Pandavas & their allies.

If you're familiar with The MB , check for the background of a character called Bhoorishravas & his duel with Satyaki , why were these two sworn enemies of each other just as their fathers & grand fathers before them ?

The MB's also about The Doctrine of Unintended Consequences viz if Devavrata didn't take the terrible oath he did to be celibate for the rest of his life earning the title of Bheeshma from The Gods , there would've been no genocidal war in Kurukshetra. Plenty of such stories in The MB.

Frankly I was in a bit of a dilemma choosing between both these phrases before opting for the one I did.

This could be a very silly question but I am just thinking... I never saw this until your post...

"Deva-Vrata". There can be no connection between "Vrata" and "Vrtra" no?

Edit:I do not speak Sanskrit btw or really understand it. I am determined to learn it eventually though

Just make sure u don't learn Sanskrit from some white westoid idiot who doesn't get idioms.
I had this experience with Michael Wetzel in person. Man is allegedly fluent in Sanskrit but doesn't get basic idioms. He thought ' don't eat my head/ Amar mathaa khabi na/ mera bheja mat khao' is banning cannibalism in brahmanism.....

we had levina and roma from good ol' D F I but levina madam has moved on to resonance news portal and i don't know where roma is

but my view is, you don't want those honda sherni types in defense discussions even for casual moments
