I never said there was a quote to that effect in The MB else I'd put in quotation marks & post the name of the character it was attributed to.

Revenge is the overall theme of The MB with multiple people seeking to settle scores across the space time dynamic.

In fact the war at Kurukshetra was also in large part about settling scores between the Kauravas & Pandavas & their allies.

If you're familiar with The MB , check for the background of a character called Bhoorishravas & his duel with Satyaki , why were these two sworn enemies of each other just as their fathers & grand fathers before them ?

The MB's also about The Doctrine of Unintended Consequences viz if Devavrata didn't take the terrible oath he did to be celibate for the rest of his life earning the title of Bheeshma from The Gods , there would've been no genocidal war in Kurukshetra. Plenty of such stories in The MB.

Frankly I was in a bit of a dilemma choosing between both these phrases before opting for the one I did.

This could be a very silly question but I am just thinking... I never saw this until your post...

"Deva-Vrata". There can be no connection between "Vrata" and "Vrtra" no?

Edit:I do not speak Sanskrit btw or really understand it. I am determined to learn it eventually though

I had this experience with Michael Wetzel in person. Man is allegedly fluent in Sanskrit but doesn't get basic idioms. He thought ' don't eat my head/ Amar mathaa khabi na/ mera bheja mat khao' is banning cannibalism in brahmanism.....

Which means, building hospitals in Canada is like building an Eden Gardens. Its gonna cost billions, its gonna take close to 10 years to finish and you better plan ahead else u r fucked.
This means, Canada not only has manpower shortage issues like Japan does, it ALSO has hardware bottlenecks coz Canada believes in hospital-city model.

The other shitty thing is, what no one ever tells you, is that teeth are not covered in Canada and running joke in Canada is the gormint doesnt see teeth as part of your body. NOTHING about your tooth is gonna be looked at in a hospital, you gotta pay outta pocket or get employer to cover dental plan and find dentist. The only time a Canadian hospital will touch your teeth is if your teeth is somehow infecting your jaw or broke off and got stuck in your mouth somwhere and thats it. People in Canada have taken a full on punch to their face, lost 2 teeth on the spot and went around for months or years as toothless coz well, they didnt have the money to fix teeth - which is REALLY expensive in Canada ( i broke off a tooth once- i had to get a root canal, then implant tooth where they just drill a titanium rod into your jaw and let it set with some cement, then screw on a nice enamel fake tooth on the stem - just ONE tooth cost me 3500 USD)

And if you have an ortho issue like MCL tear or ACL tear or anything to do with your knee or back or such- bwahahahahah - you will be able to walk to mexico on your gimply leg sooner than get a mri for it, coz ortho is dead-last amongst ALL health services, as our socialist masters deem ' your gimpy knee = non life threatening. get in line for that x-ray, wait time: duration of Ukraine war.


There are only two good things in Canadian healthcare:
1. Its emergency service is amazingly good. ie, if you have a 'HRRKKK dop unconcious' episode for whatever reason- be it low blood sugar or actual heart attack, you the average commoner WILL get better treatment than even Modi himself will in India.

2. its maternity services are space age - you really have to roll snake eyes multiple times in a canadian hospital for a mom or baby to not be 100% ok 99.9999% of the time.

Thats it, the end. rest everything else, go fly to USA if u got shit tons of money or go to India if you have less than Count of Monte Cristo money.

PS: Your uncle went to the wrong place. Mumbai isnt where you go, if you want good and good deal, you go east. Kolkata if you know what you are doing, Bhubaneshwar if you want all tip top new jhakaas or chennai if wanna go with the 'old is gold'. Mumbai has a few 'harvard-MIT' level hospitals that are frankly, overkill for anything unless u r in threat of dying soon, imo. 10 lakhs sounds about right for mumbai, but if he paid 10L in mumbai, he would've gotten it away with 6-7 in Bhubaneshwar or Kolkata, not sure for what in Chennai but probably not more than 8.

ah yes that's also what i get to hear about japanese healthcare system, that they have 'ward' level hospitals with almost all kind of departments in one giant building and all

dentistry, well, even though it's privatised and normalised so much here that many dentists are struggling to find patients for even basic tooth pulling - it's also a thing at least in my side of world here, that they take ~5000 INR just to make a basic denture, something that is not so affordable for suburban and rural aged people 🤷‍♂️ ... my next door neighbour, a family that's been financially struggling a lot since some years, this uncle was told by someone that now serkari ispitaal is giving out dentures too for very nominal charge so he went there to get his remaining teeth pulled but after that serkari dentist roughly informed him that their "quota" for dentures had already finished so he couldn't avail it, better luck next time 🤷‍♂️ he still roams around toothless, trying to get a denture set that wouldn't harm his pocket

then it's a thing that most dentists here in my side are just...underqualified or outright "afraid" of conducting "risky" surgeries 🤷‍♂️ (or perhaps it's matter of finding proper anaesthetist, arranging appointments etc) - i myself had to travel 50+ km just to get wisdom teeth surgeries done at some dentist who was willing to handle it, as all of my third molars came out completely sideways, and when i asked about putting dental braces to align teeth the amount he told me was totally out of my budget, 75000 for full set of braces for upper and lower molars...i didn't get it done

dentistry is a kind of thing that's totally underlooked unless one needs it, and serkari daktors just handle very basic cases and refer any minute complexity to others, unko toh waise bhi mota salary mil hi jata hai, while private ones are underqualified/rejecting cases for things they aren't confident about, or just charging a lot - there's a need for proper upgrades and services here

as for Mumbai and other cities for medical tourism; well it's nice to know that other cities are better in terms of affordability
