My main point is what is the army doing 365 days a year, it should be creating plans continuously. For this we need network centric warfare with theater centric commands across all modalities of military. This requires upfront planning and coordination and operational readiness.

Apart from the diplomatic measures, I propose the following measures to be taken from Indian Govt/ Business Federation:
1. Govt should asset condition for any international firm doing business /operating in India, will not have any sort of business /operation in Pakistan either as its own entity or as any sister concern.
2. Indian business to stop any / all procurements/ trading/ business with Pakistani origin companies in form of services. This is apart from the goods /material/hardware which we are already refraining from.
3. Government should offer substantial subsidies for countries who are willing to give up ties with Pakistan and are looking towards limiting its businesses to India.

Sanctioning few americans, japanese car/bike guys. Other than that, nothing is there, just bacha baazi and Mosque blast.

Perhaps you can introspect what you will do the next time someone hits you. As you know your battle plans are the first causality of war. Sometimes you just need to jump in and rumble and dynamically adjust strategies as you encounter challenges. There is such a thing as decision paralysis and we want to avoid that outcome here.

If we are too slow to come up with plans, then we need to go from defense to offense. Take the initiative and do unprovoked attacks and destabilize Pakistan without any provocation.

There is something called Peacetime/No war time. At that time your average IAF jet availability will be less, Naval Ships will be in Maintenance, Tanks will be in maintenance Yard reserves. MIC like Adani, SSS will operate on reduced Manpower and reduced production output. Now GOI wants to go for war,

1. IAF needs to increase the availability, which takes time.
2. IN needs to get all ships online, which takes time.
3. IA Tanks needs to lubricated, which takes time.
4. SSS/Adani needs to increase the production rate, which means Employees needs to work in OT with proper shift planning.

All these will take the time which we called prep time. Even the greatest US Armed forces will take time to start the machine.

Now if we start the war immediately, depends on the scale, What if IA ran out of NATO 5.6x45mm round, they need to ask MIC guys to supply, now without having the time to increase the production rate, they cannot supply sufficient amount which may end up in shortage. Same with simple Artillery shell.

We can go for war once everything is ready. That is the time we are taking.

Now do we go for short term war. Don't know. Does the sign shows it will be throwing punches? Maybe

We should have paratroopers and air bridges ready to deploy in 24 hours, we should have more traditional boots on the ground within days. If someone attacks India, you are telling me we will take 2 weeks to defend ourselves. If we can defend ourselves immediately, we should also be able to attack and grab territory immediately.

None of the prep matters if we don’t attack. India’s problem is decision paralysis. We need a catalyst for having a bias towards action. This requires skin in the game from day one towards an outcome that is clear and well planned out during peacetime. I’m not asserting that we need operational readiness from day one but we should have initiatives and outcomes planned out from day one that we can greenligjt and operationalize. Right now the politicians and generals are doing this post attacking, we can avoid this 2 week delay by doing this work upfront. Once the army gets the go ahead, I doubt we need more than 48 hours to mobilize.
