And pls dont replace any old warship rn, keep it for western front, we cab use it against pork

Keep majority of the modern ships at eastern front and andaman nicobar

Wtf it took 10 years for ngc to get a tender and winner, keel laying, launching would take time
I hope the electronics and sensors are up to date, or else we are cooked

Navy giving competition to army and airforce in mood swings
Navy has limited funds, it finds best use for those and delay things it does not need right now.
Like we delayed helicopter carrier/ transport dock procurement from more than a decade now, prioritizing warships and subs over them.
Navy has lots of plans and desires, but all can't be executed at the same time.
It's not beacuracy causing delays, it's choosing priority due to fund limitation.

btw any of y'all nibbiars know about the procedure to integrate our deshi weapons with MF-STAR radar?

Have the Jews given us the "source codes" so navy can do this integration themselves via the WESEE department

Or is the ((( French model ))) followed where an eye watering sum is paid to them to integrate our weapons into radar?

I think it's the former since OSINT nibbas say AK630 and 76mm SRGM both controlled by MFSTAR since you can't see their original FCRs in the modern ships.

I am asking this because assuming 8 NGC are built, it will take the total to 22 MFSTARs in operation in navy, 7 from P15A&B destroyers, another 7 from Nilgiri and the 8 of NGC.

The Radar has CEC wagera, that's the reason navy chose it, it would be very good if we can integrate our own stuff easily without jewish OEM being involved, would save money, time and most importantly cut off any dependencies.

We should rather do an MLU on Kolkata class Destroyer by replacing the MFSTAR with our LRTR. Also introduce VLSRSAM Point defense system. AK630 Replacement with new CIWS system.

Not really.

Here is a better view of the indigenous Naval Surface Gun NSG (30mm).

Then how will our Babus get the money and holiday packages from Israel? Even though we design our own ships, the babus and Admirals still need some paisa.....though less than Army Jenrals

Is it even possible to install downsized 4 m diameter LR-MFR modules in Kolkata class destroyers? Also, need to look at the increased power and cooling load.

Also, I remember reading somewhere that LR-MFR is supposed to complement MFSTAR, not replace it (probably wrong though).

Will happen once Admirals find the MFR good enough for trials, that's how the navy rolls, new equipment is installed in old ships for live testing, for e.g that Lanza-N radar is installed on INS Mysore, now that Navy has placed orders for ~10 of them, it will be installed on P15A & B to replace LW-08 radar, it is already the standard on the Nilgiri frigates.

Written off by many after accident, INS Brahmaputra set to sail again

Indian warship INS Brahmaputra, crippled after an accident at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai last July, could be seaworthy by the year-end and fully combat ready around mid-2026, as the Indian Navy rushes to repair and return the locally produced frigate to service even as many feared the vessel may not sail again because of the extensive damage it suffered, senior officials aware of the matter said on Saturday.
“Repairs are in full swing at the Naval Dockyard. The activities leading to the restoration of ‘float and move’ capabilities are expected to be completed by the year-end/early 2026. The ‘fight’ component is likely to be reactivated by June-July 2026. Getting the warship back in action is a priority,” said one of the officials, asking not to be named.
“The repairs are now being carried out in a phased manner, beginning with the warship’s hull, propulsion and power generation systems to get the ‘float and move’ component going. Equipment and systems that require repair or replacement are being removed and taken to the shop floors of the Naval Dockyard for necessary action,” he said.

Those kirloskar diesel engines won't be ready in time so it can be fitted during the repair phase right?
So this will be using the boiler engines as before?
The Brahmaputra class frigates were obsolete the day they were commissioned into service. Maybe they will have a diesel electric engine or maybe they won't. Their primary purpose is to act as a stop gap while the Nilgiri Class, Talwar Class (Batch III and IV), Next Generation Corvette and Next Generation Missile Vessel enter service.

  • Steam Turbines driving two propellers (30,000 shp)
Because we chose to stick with machinery we manufactured locally the Brahmaputra class are propelled by the same steam turbines that moved INS Nilgiri. Our Brahmaputra class along with the Chinese 'Luzhou' class of destroyers were the last warships of a major Navy to be built with conventional steam turbines.

  • Same hull as the Godavari Class (Based on Nilgiri Class > Based on Leander Class > Based on Whitby Class)
So the Navy decided to move one step up the ship design chain by marrying the proven and reliable hull & propulsion of the Nilgiri with the weapon systems of the Nanuchka and the Seaking carrying capability of Taragiri. All this meant the need for a larger hull.
The Naval Designers led by Captain NS Mohan Ram, an absolutely brilliant officer, took the Nilgiri design and expanded it by ~10% in all three axis increasing displacement by ~33% with exactly the same hydrodynamic hull shape.
The Navy discovered to its joy that not only was the enlarged hull equally stable it actually needed ~10% less horsepower to achieve the same speed. What more can you want - bigger hull, 33% more weight carrying capacity and 10% less power for the same speed - the new hull had a superior wave pattern and wake (turbulence left behind the ship) that led to this efficiency.

  • Top heavy design
In more technical terms and by incorporating some fundamentals of physics, Commander Bijalwan wrote, “When the ship is upright, the center of gravity and center of buoyancy is on the centreline (with CoG below the CoB) and oppose each other. As more water accumulates, the top weight increases, causing the CoG to move upwards while the increase in list moves the CoB outwards and lower, creating a righting arm that accentuates the list. Once the CoG crosses the level of CoB and moves above it, the ship cannot maintain its buoyancy any longer and capsizes or topples over.
When asked about another vessel, INS Betwa, which also caught fire in 2016, Commander Bijalwan said, “INS Betwa capsized under completely different circumstances, and there was no pattern of accidents to observe.”

right most guys, this thing made me worry, not a fresh design

only upgraded derivative, soon we will get another upgraded and scaled up derivative of vizag class - p18 class

therefore p18 ~ delhi class
You should properly read up on the P 15, P15A, P15B and finally the P 18 before making such comments. It shows your lack of basic understanding about these ships.
