They barely blow up technicals. Instead the soft cover pickup truck used as troop transport gets blown up. Both are not the same.

whats the difference? i mean technical are armed soldiers, along with one or two heavy equipment like hmg, antitank or aa equipments.. Kinda step fwd from old school jonga jeeps with rcl?

Not Entirely. Technicals are just the pickup truck modified with AA, HMG guns or anti tank weapons. Often manned by two or three members depending on the weapon and used for direct fire engagements. The one in the picture has a 40MM launcher in it. They're barely used for troop transport in active areas as they're prime targets for counter fire.

The one you see above is most likely used as a troop transport during a relatively safer environment. Since SF teams move light, they use variety of vehicles to get to the objective.

Pakistanis one the other hand , have the Frontier Corps travelling in normal pickup trucks with a soft top that has been converted into troop transport.
Usually like this without any armour. That is why if you look at the videos you will see them scatter to the sides for cover as soon as they are fired upon. They will usually never have any heavy weaponry on them providing cover fire.

Or sometimes with a HMG



101st Airborne has their own version called the Squad Fighting Vehicle which is basically Troop transport along with some sort of heavy weapon for fire support

This would be classified as a technical. The Mahindra Rakhshaks and Safaris in Kashmir that move around during encounters wont be.
