Operation Sindoor and Aftermath

Mail-SPL-468-X60-2x
Actually we did show restraint. When we launched attack at their bases, it was show of intent capability but what should have been done in that window was delivering big blow - that allows India breather for next 5 years. Which means some of the military ammo dumps should have been targeted also. Next 5 years so that Pakistan spends its forex on rebuilding and replenishment and not on building further. But hindsight is 20/20.

One can be rest assured of one thing. Op Sindoor happened because trump was there. If Demos were there, our response would have been muted. And on the basis of that we may not get similar window of opportunity to pummel Pakistan capabilities to decade back again soon.

During the initial discussions on what our response would be, the decision we reached in this forum was that we will hit terrorists, openly, publicly and with proof.

But, we escalated it to hitting their bases with impunity over the next few days. That was beyond what we had initially thought our response would be.

I agree with how pressure from US played a part. That is expected part and parcel of the dynamics at play.
point though is, our base line response to any future terrorist attack is now firmly established. This was not the case pre 2014.

That is the paradigm shift.

This is being called a paradigm shift, but let’s be honest—it’s at least 20 years overdue. And even now, it’s not enough. I agree that, just like the GoI, many members on this forum also lacked a broader vision. But the problem at DFB wasn’t a lack of imagination — it was that our expectations were shaped by how slowly and cautiously we've responded to challenges over the past decades.

We also seriously underestimated Pakistan’s ability to keep itself afloat, thanks to support from its "four fathers." One major surprise was Trump siding with Pakistan, especially after the Houston event (Howdy Modi). That must’ve felt like a betrayal on the level of the Lahore Declaration for Modi.

The big takeaway? Never put all your diplomatic eggs in the basket of just one political party in the U.S.

Agree to that.
Imagine if our leaders had similar spine since independence.

regarding Trump, he seems to have gotten a very good personal deal from Pakis.
He will surely get message from our end in a nice way as well.

We've had excellent relationship with Biden, a lot of people miss this. Also, it was Democrats who supported Bibi to burn down Hamas, same goes for pakistan, internally they don't like sly punjabi army/islamists, US has the pakistani army crooks by the balls, most of their families are settled in western sphere.

You have to understand pakistan army is a mercenary army, working for anyone who pays them dollars. Their generals are so corrupt that their corruption is taken as joke in pakistan (as if the jihadi uneducated awam can do anything about it).

Not really. We absorbed many attacks and yet did not respond overtly (covertly maybe) to Pak. And Demos tried to arm twist and stumble GoI many times. Infact this first thing allegedly complained to trump after he became prez.

I think you are confusing specifically Biden administration with low calibre American wokes running paid campaigns for islamists. Leave the university professors from obscure courses and their unemployable students protesting day in day out, NGOs etc; we got a lot of deals and military assistance from the Dems.

The entities you just listed are just tools of DS who commandeered Biden

Not just mercenary Army but just one grade above terrorists. They are really terrorists in disguise as they have been radicalized for decades. Their mujahideen batallions are made up of terror operatives directly responsible for mayhem and deaths in J&K.

Our leaders would have grown spine if they intended to build a prosperous nation. Nehru-Gandhi Dynasty and the Gandhi Cult was hell bent on molding india into Gandhi's vision. Truth be told we are still a colony. We are a colony of Gandhi Cult who is hell bent on keeping us a museum piece, an anthropological relic. Our culture, traditions, values, outlook, all are subverted by these cultists.

So, How can they grow spine when they didn't intend to make us a prosperous nation.

Only after Jan-Sangh rise and loosening of Gandhi Dynasties control on our politics have we slowly grown. They even bankrupted us. Only after balance of payment crises did our economy liberalize. Only than we grew some strength.

The real paradigm shift happened in election of Modi as PM. We are still discovering ourselves. We are like teenagers full of idiotic conceptions of the world. We are now just starting to understand. A lot of the people still don't understand. But with time if modi continues to remain at helm and our Hindu Cultural champions are given reign we may in future even grow an exoskeleton.

So, We need to do is grow rapidly, cull our internal snakes, punch and subdue our rabid neigbors.
We need to atleast fancy ourselves as the guardian of IOR.
