Karma will strike those intellectuals who pushed these simple illiterate people into blood bath and face mighty indian state . They never had a chance .. they never had a popular support even when things were at its peak . It was just to satisfy their wet dream of revolution what they saw in some other countries . Bloody product of inferiority and slave mentality , having no originality ...

"Not even skeletal remains".....

What is the Wire's expectation of the state with respect to terrorist carcass? A 21 gun salute?

You wage war against the country for establishing a one party Maoist pro CCP puppet state, kill/maim government officers/police/election agents/elected officials/non elected political party workers, blow up cell towers/railway junctions, roads, indulge in extortion/smuggling/gun running/munitions manufacturing/looting/sexual slavery, establish ties with ISI/MSS/ULFA etc, then you get gutted & incinerated by the state.

Remember the event in which around 70 CRPF jawans were massacred? It was rumored that in the halls of certain 'eminent' universities there was an air of "profound all around smiling for reasons not understood". Eminent personages were quick to point out the "root causes" / "state atrocities" & how these "people" should be 'left alone" even at that time. For some unknown reasons none of these eminent personages spoke of a ceasefire then.

These overground brokers & leechers who get wined/dined (and maybe much more action) by "eminent" foreign universities/NGOs/organizations/associations/"watchdogs" are certainly demoralized & slightly down but not out.

What urban Naxals will ask for them? Some dignity, humanity, sympathy and freedom to do whatever they want?

Don't you know, terrorist are biggest deserving recipient of Human Rights? They need to be given concession, ceasefire, judicial trail, humane treatment, talks, on ground negotiations like a deserved elite are given...
