How different are coast guard and naval variants in terms of capabilities?
 
C-295 based MRMR has probably completed its development. Contract could be signed anytime in this financial year with TASL.

So this is a Netra like project? We put our own electronics into the C-295 to turn it into an MPA and we are not buying MPA variant off the shelf that the Spanish offer?

Very good news, eventually we must be able to replicate the equipment aboard the P8I also hopefully.

Yes the platform is the Airbus C-295 with Indian sensors, avionics and MPR
