Earlier Modi used to say freebies will ruin the economy. I understand it was the opposition who started it and won few elections off it. It is high time Modi and government reaches out to opposition to see if this can be controlled and election reforms can be done which stops such things.

TBF, most of the announcements from the center regarding Bihar have never been fulfilled, as usual, they were election Jumlas. Even in the budget, when everyone was calling it "Bihar Budget", they barely got around 10k cr of development, but it was portrayed as if it were in lakhs!!
