bola toh jata hai aisa, aur specs se lagta bhi hai ki most common M193 se toh jyada lethal hi hai,

par baki ke jo aaj ke jamane ke 5.56x45mm ammo variants hai like M855, M855A1 etc uska INSAS spec ammo le saath comparison ke liye ballistic data aur actual firing range ke results etc toh army or DRDO etc ke paas hi hoga toh woh thoda complicated hai

Ek last regarding ammo, there was photo of a lethal ammo of 5.56 mm, and a normal 5.56 insas ammo type
The lethal one was slightly longer, than normal one , and it had a thin red band in the lower part , also the lethal ammo bullet looked kind of Hollow from the top .
The test result photos, also showed difference, the normal ammo, passed through that jelly like thing, without much spreading, while lethal ammo, it seemed as if had literally burned the inside of the test dummy .which I guess means, significantly higher damage to internal organs .
I don't have a photo , but it was present in a drdo monthly journal of some years back .
( I have given everything I can remember from the photo , I am sure you must have seen that image yourself)
What do you think about that ammo.

i think I've seen that too but if the tip had a slight hole then it means hollow point bullet with soft jacket,
that air gap and softer construction makes it deform and expand in literally fatt ke flower ho jana style upon impact to the flesh, and later breaks down in parts once it goes in, then those clubbed up parts just spread further causing widespread tissue damage

so it's more about bullet design than any significant change with propellants or so, could be built upon same desi NATO spec M193 copy here or INSAS spec ammo, need more detail to confirm

just read further about hollow point bullets and how it increases 'lethality' with such brutal destruction of flesh

sidenote-this kind of expanding ammunition is a big controversy among muh hooman roights aktivists and they often advocate for its ban...first ever such expanding bullets were conceived and used by angrez era ordnance factory of dumdum in united bengal and hence also informally called "dumdum rounds"

Can people here tell that why sig 716 is favoured so much by army and it received 1.5 lakh unit order. I saw it has much more recoil as compared to ak203 or sss defence guns. And the guns need to be stable right for better targeting?

Yes they made these in 8 mm ?
Rounds ? During WW1, they were also called as poison bullets .
But army should standardise this bullet over the current one .

yep it's full auto only, that fire selector and positions of fire modes are all directly copied from Excalibur rifles and that too have S-Safe, R-Repetition (means Semi-Automatic) and A-Automatic modes in same exact direction and spacing

perhaps Bharat Forge folks meant to say that it's capable of short duration "bursts" of full auto fire, and mag dumping isn't recommended with this as barrel profile isn't heavier much for sustainable full auto fire - which is logical for almost all full auto capable firearms

after fiasco of INSAS 1B series, DRDO ARDE etc folks have mostly given up on having dedicated burst fire modes in their weaponry over criticism of stoppages and INSAS going full auto anyway on Burst mode during the kargil war etc

personally I'm all for brutalizing my enemies to most painfull traumatizing agonizing deaths possible

but read about how germans cried foul when americans brought shotguns for trench clearing in ww1, while americans simply dismissed them telling them germans already were brutalising their enemies to death with flamethrowers

once someone escalades, it is different to stop somewhere until that peak is reached and currently that peak is nuclear bomb

professinal armies are also ridden with bureaucratic control over things and when you have a giga boomer bureaucratic red tapist fauj like ours it further complicate things

so, can it be done?

should it be made standard issue?

should it be used on terrorshit madharchod subhumans or naxal fucks ?

btw even a weak ammo can brutally disable like paralyse someone if it's fired at one's crotch...no I'm not talking about shooting one's jewels down there but below the belt shot in that downwards triangle region can break one's hip and tailbone, sometimes even end of spine and effectively "neutralise" an enemy
