Climate was only until the US had some lead on green energy. The moment they realized that China has surpassed them in tech and production, they're back to their old games.

India is naive to just blindly believe the goras.

Another factor is probably the lobbies. Some energy giants thought green energy was future and invested in it. They lobbied to push their advantage against their rivals by grabbing green energy contract that their rivals could not. Green energy turned out to be quagmire that fucked over a lot of companies that backed it, so the rival giants used that opportunity to slip a lot of money into the orange pedo's pockets and are making them do this nig-noggery.

I agree with you that we should not fall for every new western panic. But i do think we need to invest heavily into nuclear. Our coal reserves are neither that plentiful or high quality. Nuclear energy along with stockpiling of materiel is the best chance we have for energy independence for the next century.
