Indian Special Forces (19 Viewers)

Look this handsome man over here has a better plate carrier setup than the entire Para SF.

Its not that the entire Indian Army is screwed up its just that either SF doesnt get funds or they lack interest.

The way Infanty and RR units are upgrading i am pretty sure in 5 years you wont be able to tell who is who.

It already is impossible to tell the difference if you take the Tavor out of the equation

Actually quote routinely look for the *worst* equipped troops in the pack and they’ll be PARA SF

It’s not actually that common to see regulars with these hand stitched Talibani load carriers

AFSOD can never become JSOC
It's all in the mindset and India doesn't have that
How many times? AFSOD was a TRAIL for a SOCOM that has never gone anywhere

Absolutely nothing to do with JSOC, people really need to understand what JSOC is before throwing it around in the Indian context

India doesn’t even have JSOC tier units. A para is a para, a MARCO is a MARCO etc. where are the Tier 1 elites of the elite? They don’t exist. Everyone is a generalist in India

Total waste of money in a already small pocket!

There is nothing this vehicle does that a modified Tata or Mahindra cant do…and the price fucking 3-4 crore a piece.

Thats enough money to buy proper sniper kits for teams or many many helmet mounted nvgs.
These things are OLD, so old the esteemed NGT is trying to get the SPG to retire them early despite the fact they have barely any miles on them and are pristinely maintained

They were bought long before Indian OEMs had anything of this quality. They are used as assault vehicles that can transport an entire team (8+ guys) in the back and on the skirts, the Thar can’t do that. Only now does Tata and Mahindra have things with similar armour levels and usability, would be good to see the LBPV replace this

In fact I support SPG only sourcing their vehicles from Indian OEMs, I have NO idea why they need to buy brand new Fortuners when the XUV700 or Safari exist, 20 years ago the SPG used the far less capable Safari

Probably they’ll still need to source the VVIP armoured vehicle from abroad, I doubt an Indian OEM can provide a Maybach security or RR Sentinal equivalent

Killing a lot of kaffirs and and not even getting a single scratch on themselves. They are cowards who try to motivate themselves by deluding they will kill a lot of kaffirs and will not get hurt. This is their chink in the armour for psychological warfare. They need to know that their brethren surrender, burn to death, decapitated, etc. Complementing jews and demeaning hindus is an interesting racial psychology.

For them any gora Indian with a sharp nose and light eyes is not Indian.

I was in Spain and these mfs pakis used to reach out to me thinking i am a Paki.

All restaurants there are mostly Pakis and they gave me discounts without even confirming if i am a fellow Paki or not.

man that RPL20 is sick , god when will we replace these rusting PKMs
Just buy newer Pikkas. No other LMG comes close tbh.
People see the wooden buttstock and think it's old but it's a timeless design.

It fires the 7.62x54R (same as 7.62x51 in performance) and at a much, much lighter weight.
The M249 (jams like a bitch) fires 5.56 at a 7.7 KGs of weight. PKM weighs 7.5.

The FN Mag (industry standard, apparently) fires the 7.62x51 at a whopping 12.5 KGs.

Replace the wood in pikkas with something lighter and it'll probably weigh even less.
Hell, make the carry handle and some parts of the frame carbon fiber and you could lose up to a kilo off of it.

It's a very good design.

If you want centerfire design, Poles already have their UKM which uses 7.62x51 NATO but I don't know how well that one works.

This is very important. Pakistanis celebrate beheadings because they believe it to be a vile fate worthy of Hindus.

With our stunts burying their soldier's dead carcass during Kargil, they're emboldened further because they have began to believe that no evil will befall them no matter how disgusting they behave.

All of them either want or portray a hero's sendoff of their terrorists.

You should see how pessimistic some Kashmiri TG groups get when they see RR soldiers do the nasty nasty with their dead spawn's bodies.

They're not used to being gored the way they wish to gore others. That's something that happens to Hindus.

Us?
We die with perfectly preserved bodies to bury and unbox 72 virgins in heaven.

Next time India goes to war, every soldier should be shown the chechclear video and asked to perform their best reenactment and I assure you, a fairly large part of their rear will desert if footage starts coming out.

The humane treatment of the modern era has given them a false belief in their own invincibility.
The shock will go to their heads if they see that their face can literally be worn as a mask.

but for sone instances having a smaller lighter MG is better , PKMs are bulky .
specially when distance of engagement is small and opponent is unarmored . Make's it easy to work even with a civilian vehicle .

For that purpose, just develop reliable drum mags for the regular AR/AK platform.

If volume of fire is a concern and you don't have the top hatch of the vehicle available or don't want to poke out of it for whatever reason, ARs and AKs can function as an adhoc LMG in a pinch.

If you HAVE to put a heavy volume of fire down, dismount. There's very few reasons you'd need a LMG just to keep firing from the windows of the vehicle. Either move or dismount.

Lastly, the thing with LMGs or intermediate cartridges in general is, they need that lengthy barrel for the powder to burn completely and get as much velocity for the round as possible. It also helps with cooling. A longer barrel heats up slower and cools faster (thanks to the surface area of the metal).

They tried that "smaller LMG" concept with the sawed off RPD in Vietnam and it was very niche. It could be used, sure, but as soon as you went beyond cities and into typical engagement ranges (which, in Vietnam, were still not that far. >200 meters usually), it would lose a lot of accuracy.

There's always a compromise. Longer and bulkier the gun, better the range and accuracy. You compromise one, you lose the other.

Another problem is belt fed systems are naturally bulky. Even if you put a small barrel on it, the way the cartridge gets picked and ejected after firing and the way it eats the belt up requires a very large receiver and lots of parts moving within.
Do you have a particular MG system in mind?
(Sorry for talking like ChatGPT).
