Air India AI 171 Crash in Ahemdabad (36 Viewers)

That is because the pilot is a human being and predicted that he wont make it.

And reacted by taking off the hands from radio and bracing the impact.
i cant imagine what must be going on his mind when he left the radio and he knew what the fate was. pilots are truly the most toughest beings on the planet

didnt the concorde also crash like this after taking off? maybe that was overweight

TLDR is once McDonnel Douglas bought/merged with the original Boeing, management was from that company, eventually the original Boeing management was removed.
McDonnel Douglas is a military plane merchant company iirc they made the F-18 and their goal was to max profit over other things.

So eventually they started cost cutting in many areas including the actual construction, parts of the plane and the software also.

Eventually this resulted in the current spate of crashes because of defects and other niggles like doors flying off and all.

This is just a conspiracy theory! Anyways, I don't like Tata group for their cover up of 26/11. All Turkish companies should be banned for sure, they are a security threat for all.
It isn't about liking tata. Indian companies were just as compromised as indian govt.

most maintenance is done by third part often not indian comapanies. Stoopid NRI like you and that @BappaRawal guy are extremely igonrant about nearly every topic but still parade around like geniuses who Know everything

Instead of calling people stupid NRIs why don't you the smart one in India do something about it...

Reliability Availability Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) all factors, AI sucks

Looking at its flight history, there's an unusual amount of delays from the 5th to the 8th.

Then no flying on the 9th, based in Delhi.

Then return to service 10th.

This reads ongoing mechanical issues, but is pure speculation at this point.

from r/aviation where a user went through logs of vt-anb

Full or close to full runway usage is apparently relatively normal for longhaul flights like 787. This does not really prove or disprove anything
That depends on how long is the runway ..Usually runways if made for A380 are usually consumed fully by 787
Also travelling London is 8000 km and full tank of 787 I think can go up to 12000 km (correct me if I am wrong) so it was not full tank ..
I don't know about the size of the runway though ..

didnt the concorde also crash like this after taking off? maybe that was overweight
nah it happened with concord because during ascend some trash thing on or nearby the runway bumped to its surface near one of its fuel tank, causing a big fire failure and engines probably went flameout and it quickly lost lift causing it to crash hard...

that trash most likely was some strip of metal from nearby plane

if this incident also shows signs of trash or debris hitting on the plane... 🤷‍♂️

i am leaning towards bird strike possibility because I have lived in a'bad and trashy suburbs are often full of big mice or pigeons and birds of preys like Black Kites are often seen in air...and look around ahmedabad airport neighbourhoods...more or less places are magnets for such things 🤷‍♂️

Air India has a history being incompetent at quality control.

@shade2 @Azaad Glorious Air India's antics.
