Air India AI 171 Crash in Ahemdabad (41 Viewers)

Explosion in the fuel tanks leading to loss of control systems and power to the engines?

I cannot think of any other reason for an explosion, unless we consider sabotage...
he could be talking about the post crash explosion. Remember the flight was in air for like 30 seconds so he could be misplacing events especially with him still being in shock

It's might be because of RAT . When aircraft looses all power RAT get activated . A small turbine below the belly . It produces enough electricity for various control measures .

Could it be that the aircraft was overweight for the heat conditions that may have been prevalent in Ahmedabad. It would have reduced thrust and they couldnt maintain the lift? Usually don't they calculate and offload passengers before flights?

The MTOW is calculated by computers, taking into account all conditions.

Very little chance of that fuck up happening.

In the 80s and early 90s, it was calculated manually by flight engineers, so it was a risk then. Not in 2025.

I remember some crash happening because the cargo hold was improperly secured and the cargo shifted back to the rear of the plane during takeoff, changing the CoG and messing up the stability of the plane.

I think the loud noise he is pointing is the crash of the aircraft into building and the subsequent explosion of the fuel tanks ..

Honestly this crash has even shaken someone like me .

Yeah but it could have changed just before flight? Like the computer calculated for a temperature and by the time they are on runaway, it could have changed?

Ya nowadays if you put wrong figures even the Aircraft will say Fuck You.

A320 and 787 do that .

Yeah, that is the most probable explanation.
