The Big 4 back in 2000s decided they were not fit for the new emerging format - T20 and agreed on not participating in inaugural T20 WC.
They had knack of identifying growing talent, Sachin recommended Dhoni as new Indian All format to BCCI, Dravid and Laxman scouting and grooming newbees for ODI and Tests in domestic circuits.

But the current lejhands - RoKo does not want to get involved with anyone after the match and restrict themselves to their family. They have ego bigger than Mount Everest and would go on to play till age of 50 if BCCI does not force them to retire.​

They did not selecte Mukesh Kumar in final 16-17. They kept Prasidh Krishna out of playing 11. They took T20 bowlers in Tests.
BCCI need to stop considering performance in IPL as standard for Tests.​

This 👆is the root cause of all the present problems. It's high time apart from taking domestic FC tournaments seriously & restoring its primacy in test selection , we move to identifying 3 separate teams or rather a pool of 25-30 players each along with support staff for the 3 formats with the caveat that test cricketers be contracted for a period of 1-2 years at least in test cricket for handsome amounts to compensate for BANNING their participation in any form of T20 which includes the IPL.

IPL generates enough revenue on its own to subsidise test cricket for us to ensure participants in test cricket don't lose out on personal income. The alternative is death of test cricket as we know it especially since there's a near global consensus among connoisseurs commentators administrators & players - usually former in the latter two categories that T20 is the bane of test cricket with BCCI copping a lot of blame for ruthlessly commercialising the sport

The bloke has been workhorse for more than a year now for Indian Team in 50 overs and Test playing games back to back BCCI is gonna fuck him up too poor guy dosent get rest while dudes who barely has done shit in this format gets break before CT and in the only 50 overs series we have Before CT what a joke

FC tournaments are considered before selecting for test games Not IPL that's why we have Eshwarn, Sarfaraz, Mukesh and even Sai sudarshan (as back-up in the team) and the sole reason why washy is even considered for Red Ball in IPL dude barely plays and can't bat for shit except one match.(don't know what Rohit is even doing in this team I appreciated him in last WTC cycle but my god is he is terrible red ball captain probably the worst I have seen after tim Paine)

As for quality of the tournament yes it needs work need more Bouncy conditions with greener pitches can be done in Himachal easily Dharamshala is decent but we need to definately provide more than just spinning pitches to our dudes and highways especially chinnaswamy.
 
Brohit is ass when it's come to captaincy in Test. If an number 11 hit an boundary guy panics and set an outrageous boundary saving field set. With an absolute shit stars in the squad we can't win anything.

Kohli is shit in test for 5 years. Rohit is completely clueless from Bangladesh series to till now. He will never going to survive with the way he is batting.

Siraj is bowling from 23 Asia cup to till today. Guy going to be fucked up. Bumrah is already fucked up bowling 30 overs.

If GG have balls drop Rohit and Kohli. Sitting Pant out when he had one bad series will give bad message. Because we are trying to save an guy who failed for 5 years with same pattern of dismissal and another one who lost the ability to play.

But unfortunately it is not possible as @ezsasa told due to PR this create an shitshow.

Allow fast bowlers to bowl fresh. Rohit Sharma just bowl them to death.

Also finally use the data/ analysis about pitch you have wisely. Every team have says, analysis nowadays. Just talk about some Intent will not change when you don't have plans.

Best batsman, Best bowler, let me tell you none are needed, what needed is the will to win and dominate accompanied with biggest dose of discipline.
He along with many are clearly missing that.

His shot was definately fucking stupid but that's what you get with him that's how he won us gabba smacking Lyon for a six just after the previous ball had him stumped half a mile down the pitch luckily keeper missed Pant has the best defensive game in this team so yes he needed to play for a draw he is stupid but he is also your best batsman in NZ tour and that's how he played if we are dropping people for just 1 tour Pr Sharma, Kohli,Gill, Jaiswal after the SA tour all need to be gone miles away from this team.

In the midst of all this Kohli has still gotten away scot free when you can bet good money he will get out the same way he has so far in all the 4 tests again. I hope they don't make Pant the bali ka bakra for the loss in the last test.

You have to bring players who perform according to need.
Players have been given enough time, if giving players time means previous 3 test performance despite many time situations not calling for it then I think it's high time to bring ones who can do that.
