By 28 Men's team has serious chance because of young talent in IPL (seems like their will be age restriction) so we need to send young guns if that happens if the limit is 24 by 2028 I doubt anymore from current setup is going maybe Harshit he is 21 I hear.

28 women's is kinda impossible tbh especially with age limit our young talent is good we have all seen worldcup but dang we can't field to save our lives if I could count how many finals we lost cause of shit fielding it would be plenty
Aussie women mog others at present. Very big hurdle to cross for any team for a trophy.

Only hardwork, less crying about money and rights more focus on games and gym to improve fitness and game while we barely see our women's in gym even when we see our team in GYM it's mostly HIT workout no strength training no Compund movements. How do they expect to hit a six when they can't even curl or deadlift once in gym.

Womens team is more arrogant and entitled than the men if that's even possible.

General issue is Australian Women team is the benchmark in terms of Women's cricket. Fitness, Run scoring, bowling. Good in every aspect.

Unfortunately we are 3rd best after Aus and England. But few other teams were able to overcome us like New Zealand, Sri lanka.

Same situation with Hockey Men's Team. We are 4th best at anytime.

Love to see how these two aspects can be broken.

3rd best only for now it we don't improve. Associate nations are climbing the ladder fast in women's cricket Thailand, Japan, Spian and few others are coming up with their own playing 11s and those without any Indian/Australian and Pakistani women's cricket is growing in associate nations while we are still making silly mistakes.

after virat's 50. sorry not sorry , no other reason. u can't play like T20 in ODI. McCullum of 19 WC already proved that. if you are not serious about sports then please retire.

And..
just like that porkies could host only 7 full matches out of 15, from a tournament which was supposed to he hosted in porkiland.

Apparently meltdown is going on r/CricketAus and the sub may go private.

Cricket changes every 10 years and now half into third decade of 21st century, ODI is already being played negligible compared to yester years:

1970s:
  • First ODI: 1971
  • Number of ODIs: Around 38 ODIs were played in this decade. The format was still in its infancy, with limited series and tournaments.

1980s:

  • Number of ODIs: Approximately bODIs. The format gained popularity and became more established, with more teams and series taking place.

1990s:

  • Number of ODIs: Around 1000 ODIs. The 1990s saw an explosion of ODIs with the rise of global tournaments, especially the Cricket World Cup (1992 and 1996).

2000s:

  • Number of ODIs: Approximately 1500 ODIs. The frequency of series increased, and the ICC Champions Trophy and other tournaments started to become regular fixtures.

2010s:

  • Number of ODIs: Around 1800 ODIs. ODIs became more regular, with series and global events such as the ICC World Cup (2011 and 2015), and the emergence of smaller series between more nations.

2020s (up until 2025):

  • Number of ODIs: Around 400-450 ODIs (as of 2025). The number of ODIs has started to stabilize, with fewer bilateral series due to the rise in popularity of T20 cricket and global events like the ICC World Cup (2019) and the ongoing importance of leagues like the IPL.

How ODI are being played has changed to 10-20 overs individual parts.
