Nevermind that even right now most of
is imported, most of the indigenous subsystems have only been tested but not been operationalised for one reason or another. (May it be the seeker or the liquid fuel)
aerospace was formed in 2001 and we only managed to indigenize it's Solid Rocket Booster less than 5 years back,
It took us 20 fooking years to indigenize a Solid Rocket Booster let that sink in, and don't even for a second think this was due to our own technological deficiency cause it most definitely was not, it was due to a mix of covert importkhori of our beloved generals and Russians leeching us for money and typical DRDO Incompetence and unseriousness towards maximising indigenization (unlike the Chinese)
In my view
Aerospace has served it's purpose and is now over staying it's welcome.
I don't understand why are we still sharing profits with the Russians and dancing on their tunes.
We need to Replace
with our own STAR based missiles if not the OG
then at the very least
NG should not be allowed to see the light of the day,
our
NG equivalent should be based on STAR missile and be a 100% Indian missile with 100% of the IP and profits staying in India
It should be produced by BDL and not
Aerospace
The missile project has recently entered Phase-III, concentrating on complete system integration and high-level validation.
