Because those two extra liters of space was what gave ATAGS the edge it had over contemporaries.
These small steps of iterative improvement to achieve overmatch over adversary and have a foresight of the future combat is what I like the most about Indian MIC :love:

Now playing field is leveled with the ATHOS, and what I mean by that is, it's easier for the ATHOS to compete with a nerfed ATAGS now. Generals themselves have mentioned "there iz no shoot and skibidi in the mountainz". So that 27 liter barrel cap was our ace in the hole and outranged every PLA 155mm gun artillery. They'll allot 1/4th of the order book for this nerfed gun and 3/4th of the requirement will be forwarded to the Israeli gun.

Asgard is not possible, if you are going to be sarcastic please be realistic. Asgard is in Marvel universe now, which means we have to go to amreeki sahib for permission and fat chance of amreekis giving us permission to test home grown stuff when they can simply sell sub par equipment re badged as Indigenous maal. The only realistic testing grounds for us are moon and Mars. Which will be the next reason the jernails will use to snuff VSHORADS because "where are the test rejults phrom ass-guard? Only in India UNGENROLS will remove an weapon with unique capability and ask them to water down the capabilities.

Always trust in Chinaman. Even it is mediocre he will give feedbacks to work on chinks. On the other hand UNGENROLS cry imports everytime and hyping up their Foreign Masters.

We should really spam mann ki baat detailing how whole procurement system is nothing but dalali and critical lack of competent officials /genrols creating pathetic national security.
PM should be suggested we might as well import good officers given lack of domestic option.

Any serious leadership would bring no defence import which we can make ourself.
