Wowow arabian sea is quite deep , with a very big abyssal plain in the middle.
Iam talking bout area, between, Murray, carlsberg, lpp ridges .
That flat sea floor means there are no sea mounts , there .
None .
4000 metres deep .
@shade2 idhar pe koi jahaz duba then it's not salvageable.
It's probably deeper than titanics depth .
Never knew arabian sea was so deep .

Is there any reason why we can't completely make ramjet engines for Brahmos in house? If I am right, Akash (SAM) missiles were ramjet powered until recently when they were abandoned for dual pulse rocket motor. This reduced the weight of Akash missile and doubled the range of missile. I am starting to think they mainly did it for reducing the cost.

Now if we were able to make ramjet for Akash missiles, I am pretty sure we can churn them out in good quantity for Brahmos too. There are lot of sources saying we only have 2,000 Brahmos missiles in our arsenal. True number obviously hidden. I say why not have a stock of 10,000 of them? Taking into consideration the time taken to assemble the missile, why not stock up on parts which can be put together quickly in war mode? Given the precision and effectiveness of this missile if we use this missile properly we can take out vital assets of our enemies quickly. I only hope we can increase the area impact of this missile with some high explosive warhead for more destruction.

Having more numbers would give us the freedom to target more assets of our enemies. Taking out supply lines of Chinese is vital to cripple them if we go up against them. We can drive the cost down if we fully indigenize the missile instead of importing ramjet engine from Russia. Maybe someone throw light on why we still import ramjet engine from Russia? Did we not make ramjet engines for Akash before?

STAR Missile have our own Ramjet engine. This will become the base for the Future Ramjet engines.

Current Brahmos JV agreement is Russian partner will manufacture the Ramjet engine and we work on Seeker, Propellant etc.

As per Brahmos manufacturing we are not shutting down, so we have steady supply for foreseeable future.

Russians supplying ramjet as part of their agreement is okay. But why depend on them at all? Since we can make our own ramjet engine, let's churn them out in great numbers and stock up to assemble the missile quickly when we need them during times of war. We should be driving the cost of Brahmos down to $2 million per unit from this arrangement. Hopefully with STAR missile we can get lot of spin off missiles.

Lolz it was out of drdo hence it was effective due to direct hiring from merit academia and research institutes rather than low merit reservation system and bureaucrats harrassing the scientists under the influence of cag and cia stooge babus leaking info to adversaries.

Rajeev chandrasekhar kid is a usa citizen so I have doubts why bring batl under drdo.
