Man no AC's, no refrigirators and 6 people in one room in 2024? How do you expect workforce not to jump ships if better working condition are available? This aint China where you can whip the workers to work at a company. Look at comical washing room given with slabs for beating your clothes. Would it not have been convenient and time saving if paid washing machines could have been installed? I mean why should it tough for Govts since they distribute much expensive TV, Laptops, Mobiles etc for free during elections?
I think this would mostly utilized by minimum wage workers force for them this amenity is luxury, but this is a stepping stone if one guy doing this other guys start doing same in better way and we may see a competition for human resources control.

Even minimum age workers have access to basic utilities. you just need to scan growing number of ACs, dishTVs installed in EWS houses. And this is corporate. Even corporates give AC and better bathrooms for their support staff. What you see is reflection of the mindset of the Corporate towards Indian populace. Another benefit would be your working population would be more inclined to stay in environmental controlled office.

We are no where near living standard of Developed country but whats being asked is bare minimum living conditions for workers even India. This is precisely reason why MSME and SME's are facing shortage of labor. Labor simply jumps to place where working and paying conditions are better.

There is not much real information here. What is the size of the node they are targeting? Is it 28nm or 45nm? How many chips they can make completely depends on how many wafers they etch on. And you don't have 100% yield on every wafer. So it's better to say how many wafers per month they can roll out in the fabrication process.
It looks like from the description that it is legacy 28nm node. That is the urgent requirement. It is 80-90% of worldwide demand.

I doubt they can build a 28nm node with just 3,300 crore. DUV machines will eat up more than half of that budget. Or it is possible they might be ordering only couple of them.

It's an OSAT plant, not a fab.

Ashwini should only handle Meity instead of monkey balancing Railways and Meity. Need an strong hand in Railway ministry to manhandle Rail babus.

Meanwhile Roadkariji should stop giving heart attacks to people by telling he will ban diesel by tomorrow 4pm or introduce slave tax on people.
