The self-proclaimed champions of counterinsurgency, the Pakistan Army, use a textbook technique in response to insurgent attacks: extrajudicial killings of prisoners held in illegal custody, followed by displaying their bodies on the road. As seen in the video released by the Pakistani Army's information operations on social media, dead bodies are shown right in front of a military outpost for passersby to see, intended to instill terror among the local population while claiming that these individuals were killed in an encounter. I am a factual witness to this barbaric tactic. However, even this medieval approach is failing to stop the insurgency in Pakistan, which is once again becoming the centre stage of great power rivalries.DTF

There's no news more pleasing to pious momineen than the death of one of them in the month of Ramadan more so if the said person is a casualty in jihad fi sabilillah !
