No, in terms of nominal GDP it will take a few years more because Euro is stable and inflation in Germany will drive nominal GDP growth.

Us overtaking them not possible before 2027/28.

For people reading this- Please donot fall into the trap. They want to "attract" professionals from India because the system here is crumbling! Unless you are a specialist, speak the language fluently and your profession is not oversaturated by supply, Make better choices!

I am in high demand and speak the language. But going there right now is a net negative. Given the taxes I will be paying and amount of rejections I should be prepared for when searching for a house in big cities, I feel there is nothing to gain. Not to mention if you have kids you have another arduous job of finding a place in Kindergarten which in itself is as big of a search as finding a house to live. And who can forget the healthcare system which gives you appointments after 3 months. If I travel across the pond to US I will be getting paid minimum $300,000+ per year. Even after taxes I will be left with enough. In Germany I am at the most will be paid 130,000 Euros per year. With 50% tax, I will be getting 65,000 Euros in hand per year. Sounds like a bad deal to me.

Goyal deserves universal humiliation. Making such a low iq motormouth a minister of trade shows that india is not a serious country. Remember that most trade deals are stuck under him, because he is begging for more foreign visas. Also pretty much every goods export target by him has been spectacularly missed.

Also desi pajiticians should tone their hubris down. Whether you like it or not, germans/europeans only respect strength and tech. They will never take indians seriously, because they can comfortably rest knowing that 0 indian companies will challenge them in their key expertise even in 20 years. They won't do that for the Chinese because the cheenis will catch up by any means and have a 30 year timeline of showing it. Herrenknecht is one of the best/top TBM manufacturers in the world, and have supplied TBMs for most tunneling projects in India. Who exactly will this joker Goyal go to if he stops buying German machinery? The only ones remaining are the chinese ones. Their only goal should be to make favourable trade deals for indian exporters, and facilitate tech transfers from abroad, not making sigma laser eye actions for reels

Yeah that wasn’t cool.one shouldn’t embarrass foreign dignitaries for no reason.
It might bite you in future.infact he should have begged for said company to set up manufacturing plant here in India instead of we should stop purchasing.

The online janta should understand we have long way to full industrialisation and stop doing this sigma , sigma that.

Embarrasing them is fine when you are in a position of strength, and the germans are too stuck up their on ass about indians, but this is not applicable for india vs germany,and it especially should not be done by the bloody commerce+trade minister. His only goal should be to suck up to the germans and get them to invest/facilitate tech transfer. German companies had a very big role in uplifting chongs in the last 20 years.

Agreed, some one tell him that Modi is not a Chancellor of Germany that he will talk like this to foreign dignitaries in this tone. These guys have really lost manners on how to talk due to 10 years in power. Lack of communication skills is a major roadblock.

Imagine how will these dehati ministers treat Indian civilians when it comes to opening a startup.

They are currently struggling also after being put on cold-turkey by Uncle Sam from their addiction to Putin's Gas.
There are many of their manufacturers wanting to move to a more cheaper location for production, top destination is China but other ones include neighboring EU places and Turki.

That said i doubt their cockless politicians have massive egos like our ones so doubt anything will happen as a result of Goyal's jhumlebaazi, we must do outreach to their suit-boots instead.
The current makhan-lagana and concessions come from their side only, perhaps they have been persuaded by domestic suit boots.
