Rajeev Lal and his wife, implicated as the masterminds behind a case of forced religious conversion in Gomti Nagar Extension, Lucknow, have led to significant unrest.

Local citizens and Hindu organizations have accused the police of negligence, claiming that the conversions were happening openly for the past 5-6 months.

Allegations include the police gradually releasing the accused instead of taking stringent action, with approximately 200-250 individuals involved in the conversion activities.

Hindu families were reportedly pressured into selling their homes, altering the demographic balance of the area.

Protests have erupted with Hindu groups demanding intervention from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, threatening a large-scale movement if justice isn't served
