i think we r making our own desi ASRAAM.....which will called astra 4 or NGCCM. we see that in cats warrior model. if its ASRAAM, then why they name it NGCCM.

So according to info , It is not an important technology like astra which needs to be indigenous. Hence , we are manufacturing Asraam block6 latest variant under the name ngccm. Wikipedia seems to have astra IR without any info. Astra 4 which is under talks will be 3 pulsed missile even longer range than astramk3/gandiva

offtopic question:- we r planning to make cats warrior with 1-2 SAAW missiles in its internal weapon bays. beside this we will equip two WVR missiles ASRAAM or our desi version WVR missile under its wings. Isnt these two WVR missiles increase its RCS nd reduce its stealth? or these two missiles didnt compromise its stealth too much. thnx

We won't put those wvr missiles under its wings when stealth is necessary for a mission.
It's more of an additional capability, that you can if you need to.

Being able to carry 2 Astra mk1/mk2 will be a game changer for CATS Warrior. Maybe they can include this capability as development and flight testing is being done.

It is essentially giving additional range to BVRs though there is a initial launch velocity penalty compared to fighter.

The bigger version of warrior that is under development will have iwb to be able to carry 2bvr or 2 wvr missiles.

It may not be longer range compared to astra mk3.
While it will be 3 pulse, but current expectations are 200-250km max range for astra mk4.

Bigger version of warrior will have 25kn turbofan engine, making it bigger than even the Avenger drone, but is atleast 10 years away simply because HTFE-25/40 is still under development and hence this bigger project will likely not even materialise.

I was just saying future of manned fighter is to go into battle space with unmanned drone wingman like this one whoch they are building . IAF should also try to induct more Wingman type drones which can also act as ISTAR or even AWACS ..

summary in short - ngccm is our wvraam, asraam will continue to be mainstay till ngccm come into serial production, astra ir was most likely a clickbait from def youtubers
current cats warrior can carry saaw and wvraam, bigger variant would carry astra mk1/mk2
ghatak would have eots for ground attack missions
