They need to come up with new models. They currently have only 4 mass market models with 2 having bulk of sales. They are now showing their age also. Need new refresh and new generations and multiple models.

They also need to crack below $30K market to sustain in long run.​

Elon Musk is the bubble of the millennium, larger than the Dot-com bubble. Most of his businesses are not financially sustainable (incl. his space business which receives around 70% of it's funds from NASA). Most of his profits come from the US government grants or subsidies.

That is the reason why unlike the other biz tycoons he prefers to be seen around people in power and always stays in the public limelight.

I doubt they can tbh,their competitors are also catching up to them(and probably will surpass them in the future). Also,their losses in europe has been the most significant. They probably can't recover from this.

It was inevitable.
Their strength was their early advancement in the EV market. Their tech is still years ahead of completion but there's only so much you can do. Competition will catch sooner than later.
Competition is now available at Luxury price point to entry-level dirt-cheap prices.​

Tesla is OLA before OLA is OLA. They always have dodgy reputation in terms of service and spares.

Model 3 is bread and butter. But in last 5 years Chinese makers like BYD (Seal), Zeekr, Xiaomi. They were undercutting the price and also the feature set is very good.


Honestly our Automobile industry chinese companies right now. Japs barring MSIL, Toyota is dead. Americans can't bring any cars to developing market like India. Europeans except VW/Skoda is dead.

Only Koreans and Indian companies were there giving some momentum. But this is already stagnating. Chinese will be one to again bring competition so our home grown Companies will start to save their ass.

We already have JSW MG. Force BYD and every automobile company as standalone Indian companies and monitor them.

tesla's biggest problem is , its an american car model : huge, with frills, that takes up space. This is not the model for a successful car in Asia, where small size is everything - you cant bring a cadillac into a market used to marutis and expect the cadillac to work. or market F-150 trucks to a market that is used to Suzuki micro-trucks.
The default car of asia is a small car, that doesnt cost much and is easy fix, not a big car that wont fit anywhere with expensive parts.
This is why Tesla struggles in the Chinese EV market - not only is it more expensive, its also a bigger car.
Tesla crumbling is to be expected, as Elonwa's main tesla client base are 'we care about ze environmenrt and we got ze money' rich liberal whites.
Elon has become public enemy #1 to them. So Elonwa is doing photo-op with Modi and hoping to get a lifeline by entering the Indian market.

Depends on what do you mean by Small Car ? If you are talking about hatchbacks, well they are dying breed. If you are talking about Big American type Trucks(and not the european designs), they yes, India is not the right market for them
